We had a great time at Augusta Bay guest house. Great views, large and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. It has a free internet. Good value for money too. Fairly close to the centre of the town but one needs a car to go there.

Thank you very much Paddy & Antje for an absolutely magnificent time. No better place in S.A. than the Augusta Bay B&B. The views are spectacular, the breakfast are the best & the hosts are fantastic people.

Great welcome by Paddy and Antje who went out of their way to welcome us, provided great advice on things to do in Kynsna and even made a dinner reservation at the restaurant for us. Great hospitality, delicious breakfast and the most amazing views of the lagoon! We also took our little dog who was welcomed like one of the...

After experiencing Knysna, I’m not sure why anyone bothers with the rest of the Garden Route. Knysna is a protea and the rest of the Garden Route is weeds, as far as I’m concerned. (There are some nice looking weeds, but weeds nonetheless.) The August Bay certainly contributed to our very positive impression of Knysna. The view from our room...

We spent 5 nights at Augusta Bay in February and left wishing we could stay longer. The location is fabulous with amazing views. The room and facilities are excellent. The hosts are warm and welcoming and helpful in every way. They contibuted to making our stay memorable and we want to return when in South Africa again.

Stayed in April 2016. I was supposed to stay for a night and had no hesitation extending it to 2 once I was there. It is such an amazing place - the bar, the eating area, the pool and more importantly the friendly management and breathtaking views from the bedroom. I would however remind people what others have noted -...

Tucked away in an idyllic corner of Knysna. Private, comfortable and welcoming. I've been going back for several years and the service and standards have always been maintained. Good off-road parking too.

Paddy & Antje are the most welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable hosts. With stunning views of the lagoon & the most delicious choice of breakfasts this is a great place to stay in Knysna. Their restaurant suggestions for dinner were fantastic - & not the usual touristy traps.

What sells this guest house are the views from the suites. Unfortunately a neighbouring property has now spoilt the outlook from some rooms but these are sold at a cheaper rate. You will need to enquire. This is a guest house which grows on you the longer you stay. The management have a more relaxed style then we experienced elsewhere...
