We had an enjoyable two day stay and this was great value. We stayed in the Lourie Cottage with two large bedrooms. The view from the kitchen and balcony is stunning overlooking the harbour. The breakfast was good and owner and staff were very friendly. The B & B is an older style but perfect location in a lovely part...

Me and my girlfriend went to the Suiker Bekkie cottage for the Knysna Oyster Festival weekend. It is a cosy little cottage and just enough for the two of us. Do not expect your 70" Samsung Flat screen or your double door fridge. This is very good value for money, well situated and close to the Knysna waterfront. Actually walking...

We stayed for 2 nights in two rooms, each room was set up for s/c, we opted for B&B, large rooms both with a deck with a beautiful view of the Lagoon. The site is elevated and therefore you need to be able to climb stairs, the gardens are full of birds and plants that are indigenous to ZA. The...

My sister in law (from the UK) and I stayed at Protea Guest House for 3 nights and can really recommend it. It was good value for money. The view from the balcony of the lagoon and causeway is incredible and we really liked the 'jungle' setting and the birds. The balcony had lounging chairs which were very comfortable. It...

My Dad and I stayed at Protea Guest House for 5 nights in January and we were very impressed with both the location  and setting of the guest house. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage which had stunning views over the Knysna Heads and lagoon. Although the cottage is equipped for self catering, we stayed on a b&b...

“I would say if you go off season don't book ahead ,rather go to the tourist information who are very helpful ,off season you would never not get in somewhere ,that goes for the whole of the cape .”

“The 1st cottage has a good view. All the rooms are very spacious. There are steps to climb so if you have dodgy knees or hips, it is not a good idea.”

“Both single cottages are very nice but Suikerbekkie has got bigger table on its balcony. So it will be more convenient to have a meal there. Subjectively a view from the balcony is a bit better as well.”
