You can't get more hidden away. These delightful woodcutter cottages are nestled at the very edge of the magical Knysna Forest. All the luxury you need but rustic and cute at the same time. Take good wine, delicious food and light the fires inside .....and hope you hear soft rain on the tin roof. Delicious!

We spent 3 nights at Forest Edge and this was our second time there. Truly ideal for nature lovers, being close to the Knysna forest. Well recommended is the "Drupkelders" walking trail next to the property. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the Homtini river. The donkeys was a treat for my girl. Although the price is a bit steep, it...

We checked out this morning. This is an extremely well run establishment. I would like to thank Ronel and her staff for a wonderful peaceful and relaxing stay. Forest Edge is close to some of the most amazing forest hikes. We will be returning. Thank you once again.

This place is different from anywhere we have stayed before. Right at the edge of the amazing Knysna Forest, the cabin we stayed in was perfect. Get there, strap your trainers on and go for a walk, then get back, cook your own braii then crack open a drink to wind down! What you get: - Forest walks - Swims...

What a jewel in the Knysna crown! From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Everything had been thought of and nothing was lacking! The cottage was stunning, tastefully decorated and had everything needed to make our stay magical. Attention to detail was top class. Comfortable beds, seating and a great outdoor shower complimented every other creature comfort offered. Waking...

This accommodation was in a lovely setting, with log type cabins. We stayed in the standard cottage, which had 1 double bed and another tiny room with bunks , a bathroom, toilet and a tiny sitting area come kitchen. It was not worth the amount paid per night as I had the opportunity to compare it with other accommodation in...

Suffice it to say that this guest was offered a full refund almost 2 weeks before she arrived. By then, we already suffered an equally bad feeling just in trying to accommodate her every whim, including making exceptions for her, waiving R700 for her and bending our rules for her. Also, she booked for only one person, but brought another...

The perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Beautiful lodges set in tranquil surroundings. End your evening with a relax in the Hammock or with a traditional Braai and wake up in the morning to the sun streaming through the windows and the birds signing. We loved it here and we're so sad to leave. The...

Whilst we totally agree with absolutely every compliment and good review on this property (except the idiot who rated it without even staying there), there is something that has upset and insulted us. Every establishment has it's own set of rules but to be faced with totally unnecessary - almost military - laws with a fine for each that will...

Hi Harriet It was lovely to be able to share Forest Edge with you and I thank you for your review. Of course it is sad to hear your response to our rules that you felt was an insult. I can categorically assure you that no insult was intended; if anything, your comfort, peace, safety and security were foremost in...

Very friendly reception and the private cabin was perfect for relaxing. The outdoor shower was a fun surprise and waking up in the morning to the songbirds started the day perfectly. Go and stay to get away from city madness

"Absolutely everything about our stay was super. Luke and Ethan enjoyed feeding Hansel and Gretel every day (Hansel loves blue berries!) Your groundsman was an absolute star and the boys kept him busy. The outside shower is a real treat. Stargazing, shooting stars. Drupkelders a must. Daily visits to Buffalo Bay beach. Cycling in the forests. We loved our stay...
