This was our third stay with Mary & husband Jean who are a really welcoming couple. Their guest house remains the best we have stayed at in the whole of the Cape region. It sits high above Hermanus giving spectacular views across the bay from each of 5 the rooms. Each room is en-suite and spacious with stylish decor and...

Stayed for two nights whilst on honetmoon. The owners, Mary and Jean really looked after us. Tea and homemade buiscuits, and a bottle of Sparkling wine on our arrival. Mary even drove us to a resteraunt they had booked for us, and also collected us from the resteraunt. Breakfast was wonderfull. Comfortable room with great views. Friendly and highly recommended.

Guest House on a wonderful location: from the rooms in which we stayed, you have a nice view onto the mountains with its fynbos and many birds. At the same time, you can keep an eye on the Atlantic Ocean. Quiet, comfortable, and clean accommodation. Luxury breakfast. Friendly hosts - Mary and Jean - can give you good advise on...

This is a fantastic place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble. Jean and Mary have to be one of the best hosts in Southern Africa. Arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. Spectacular views, top class rooms and superb food. A must for anyone going to the Overberg area.

We stayed in Hermanus for a total of 4 nights and had the most wonderful time. This was made even more memorable by the owners and staff at Francolinhof. Mary's knowledge of the surrounding area is second to none. She seems to know everyone in Hermanus, this made our stay so special. If we wanted to go to a restaurant,...

We had a most enjoyable stay here in August. Our rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished with the large balconies providing a welcome attraction. While the surroundings are beautiful and the view fantastic, it was the quality of attention from Mary & Jean that really struck us. Nothing was too much trouble and all the extra touches - a note...

My wife and I stayed at FrancolinHof for our anniversary. Not only was the town of Hermanus beautiful, but the staff at the B&B provided wonderful hospitality. They truly went out of their way to make us feel at home and relaxed.

My partner and I absolutely loved this little guesthouse high up the hill, with stunning sea views and very comfortable rooms. Ours was light-flooded and had access to the balcony , but we had to keep the door shut as there are many curious baboons in the area. While cute to watch, it's not a good idea to invite them...

After a year of working in South Africa, I needed a relaxing week before returning back to my 'other life'. I must admit I randomly chose this from the various B&B's in the area, and am glad I made a good selection. I knew this when I was greeted with a beaming smile, shown to my room and offered tea...

Francolin Hof is a small guest house just out of the 'centre' of Hermanus and close to all its beaches. We had wonderful views of the cosatline from our balcony and really did feel we were nestled into the mountain side, seeing many wonderful birds (this place must be a birdwatchers paradise). Each of the rooms is named after a...
