Great hospitality . We were recommended by a friend to stay at Penguino House and I am telling you we were thrilled. We received a warm welcome by Stefan who showed us around the facilities and our room. It was well decorated, clean and had all the equipments you may need. We recently got engaged and they opened up a...

We spent a relaxing two nights with Nikki and Stephan. Penguino is the perfect base for wine tasting in the Hemel En Arde valley: safe, quiet, and within walking distance of Hermanus' beautiful cliff walk. Our hosts made great recommendations for both restaraunts and wineries. We will look forward to visiting with them on our next trip. And we will...

We recently spent 3 days at Hermanus and stayed with Nikki and Stefan in Penguino. The welcome we received from them on arrival and during our stay was great. Stefan helped sort out appropriate restaurants for our meal requirements and was always on hand to advise us about the area, having never visited Hermanus before that was very welcome. The...

Greeted with a warm welcome on arrival, it was the start of a great albeit short stay. We stayed for one night as a pit stop from cape town to Knysna. Stefan made a couple of suggestions that made our trip even better. Firstly he suggested a great restaurant for dinner and secondly he gave us great tips for the...

A friend and I stayed at Penguino when on a golfing holiday in the Western Cape. Having met Stefan on a previous visit to Hermanus Golf Club I knew we would be well looked after and I can report I wasn't disappointed. Fabulous breakfast to kick start the day, great game of golf that he arranged and joined in with,...

Nikki and Stefan ... I probably fail miserably in telling how good they are, but I have to try anyway. Friendly of course, but also helpful, warm and caring. We only stayed a couple of days, but we immediately felt comfortable and easy. We got lot's of good advice, not to mention the awesome breakfast. Also the location is good...

What can we say about Penguino, except that it became a home from home. Stefan and Nicky are exceptional hosts. From the moment we arrived they had a warm welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Nicky suggested the hop-on hop-off wine trip for the day we were in hermanus and this turned out to be...

Penguino is a great guesthouse in Hermanus. Stefan and Nikki are wonderful, warm hosts that are genuinely pleased to make their guests happy and comfortable. They were happy to help with suggestions and bookings of things to do in and around Hermanus (including securing us a coveted space at Creation for a food and wine pairing which was divine!) and...

Nikki and Stefan were perfect hosts, made us feel like one of the family and Stefan's 'specials' at breakfast were to die for! Located a short walk from town there was no nee to drive for dinner. A memorable stay.
