We had a very nice stay at Steenberg 5 nights: very friendly staff, beautiful and relaxing poolarea, nice dinners at the Bistro but not impressed by the the food in Catharinas. The golf club is really good but the problem was to get a good tee time even though we booked golf half a year in advance. We recommend this...

Escaped here for a night to celebrate our anniversary. Beautiful setting, excellent service. Wonderful breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the detail of the decor - bringing old and new together.

What a great place, small friendly boutique style hotel. Lovely rooms, good bathroom, excellent housekeeping. Great breakfast everything was really hot and well cooked. Would definitely come here again. Beautiful golf course (I don't play) and spa.

Having travelled through the Western Cape our trip found a very relaxing end with a night in the Steenberg Hotel, a dinner in the Bistro and a round of golf before flying home to Europe the next day. The kindness, professionality, helpfulness not to forget the tapas and wines at the Bistro and the superb golf course did not make...

I cannot recommend this place more highly. Wow!!! The food! The Wine! The service! All fantastic. From the moment you step out of your car you are greeted with a friendly smile and a glass of bubbly. We had our 15 month old little boy with us and the hotel could not have accomodated us better. The service is second...

Stunning hotel, located near Sone mountain, probably about 40min drive from central Cape Town. Located on the Steenberg estate and with origins dating back to he 17C, this is a real quality hotel. Fantastic levels of service, 2 independent restaurants on site, great Wifi, stunning grounds and a lovely shady pool ( but might be helped by having some solar...

We have recently returned from the Cape Town area and finished our trip with four days at Steenberg. We were very impressed and although this was one of the cheaper places we stayed it exceeded our expectations. The setting is idyllic and close enough to the city to see all the sights making a perfect base or like us to...

After spending 9 days in Clifton by the ocean we decided to end our trip in the wine country for 3 days. Unfortunately we've only booked one night at Steenberg which was way too short. It was truly a magical place with superb service and beautiful rooms. So much detail and attention. Next time we'll stay longer. Thank you!

We had a fabulous last night of our holiday at the Steenberg and will be definitely be returning. Over the years I have stayed at many top hotels and Steenberg is right up there with a customer orientation which many organisations could learn from - attention to obvious helpful details which are so often overlooked: an email 2 days before...

We loved this place ,it was in a truly beautiful setting about 1/2 hours drive from the Cape Town waterfront. Our room was extremely comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough. The food was excellent both in the formal restaurant and the bistro in the vineyard. I would return tomorrow if I could
