Our room and bathroom were perfectly clean and bed comfortable. It was quiet. The room was big enough to feel comfortable. The breakfast had all the things you want: muesli, cut fruit, muffins, cheeses, etc. Barry and Mina are friendly and helpful. They were also happy to accommodate our request for a late check out. They are well located in...

Jambo Is a great place to stay to capture the true spirit of Cape Town and surrounding areas. Barry and Mina made us feel right at home and shared their extensive knowledge of their hometown and Africa. This amazing couple has lovingly transformed a 130-year-old house into an enticing oasis filled with personal touches, great furnishings, fine food and infectious...

Granted we stayed in the winter, but we found the room cold. Mina was away but I understand she is a great hostess. The location was central, however, we were woken by door bells at 2:00 in the morning (a few times) with people looking for vacancy.

Life goes by so quickly but somethings you don't forget. Four years ago in July 2012 ( not the may 2015 date below) we went to explore south Africa. The Zambezi Safari and Travel Company had recommended Jambo Guest House and we were not disappointed. Lovely little guest house in a great location in Cape town. Barry and Mina were...

We stayed twice at Jambo Guest House and will surely come back. It is a small guesthouse with just a handful of rooms, all individually and creatively furnished and decorated. The small, but absolutely beautiful small garden with a pond and even a jacuzzi made us forget that we are actually in vibrant city. But what makes Jambo most unique...

Jambo Guest House is featured in the traveling book "Unusual & Unique overnight directory" as the only guesthouse in South Africa. If there was a book called "Unusual & Unique hosts directory" Barry and Mina would be in that one as well. Thank you for 3 wonderful days full of stories, kindness and guitarplay in the bar.

Mina's and Barry's home is a fairytale come true. Every room has it's own beautiful decor and the garden is a little piece of green jungle right there in Cape Town. We enjoyed their company and especially appreciated the evening when Barry played his guitar for us.

Just had a wonderful 6 nights at Jambo. Barry and Mina are terrific hosts who couldn't do enough for us. Jambo is close to several restaurants within walking distance as is the V&A. Our room backed onto their lovely garden and was great to unwind at the end of the day or relax before breakfast. Breakfast was an extensive buffet...

Stayed here on my first visit to Cape Town and South Africa. Mina and Barry - the owners made you feel at home and were extremely helpful. Barry gave us some useful information to avoid a traffic hold up on our journey to Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope. Also told us how to find Snookies Fish restaurant at...
