I stayed in the Lavender room this time. What a quaint comfortable stay! The hosts are very friendly and always eager to ensure your stay is a pleasant one, no matter how busy or full they are. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable and spacious. The pool and outdoor area is wonderful. Thank you, and I will be back again.

Really beautiful old building and beautifully laid out. The wooden doors and frames, the brass candle holders, the high ceilings... Just gorgeous. Great welcome, large comfortable room, nice lounge and outdoor areas. Highly recommended.

I received a very friendly welcome and was shown to my very comfortable room. I just loved the beautiful yellowood and oak furniture. I felt like I was taken back in time to the early days of the Cape Colony. Off street parking was a great asset. The bathroom was huge and had all the necesary goodies. The cozy lounge... More

We had decided to stay in Cape Town for a good week, and we found Mountain Manor. It couldn’t have been better. This was really “home away from home”. Very nice and friendly hosts, with many good advices about what to do during our stay in Cape Town. We’re so impressed over how we were welcomed and taken care of... More

I spent one night and left I agree that the Guesthouse is past it's prime and perhaps in need of a face-lift. The staff do not engage and management become rather defensive when you complain about something. Room 4 should be avoided at all cost. The 1990 TV is now finally broken! Yay .... perhaps it will be replaced with... More

Sadly this is past its prime and really not worth anything like the money it costs. Location is good and at first it appeared ok but the staff really did not care and were not engaged at all, not prepared to do anything unless there really was no-one else to actually do it. The only person who did was the... More

This is a few old grand mansions converted into rooms and apartments. We were in room 17 - which has two bedrooms, bathroom with bath, living room and kitchen which opens onto its own veranda. The gardens shopping centre with Woolworths and Pick 'n Pay is a two minute walk. The kitchen had enough cooking implements to prepare meals. Breakfast... More

Mountain Manor is in a good location in Cape Town, easy walking distance to some great restaurants and shopping. The gentleman who works at breakfast and in the evening, Gift, is indeed a gift. He was charming and helpful always. However we found others to be not quite as charming.

The room was very comfortable, and had all the necessities one needs on a business trip. Secure off road parking which is a priority! Freedom to come and go, private and spacious.A well equipped kitchen, so if you want to self cater, then everything is there! Shopping centre is across the road, wonderful restaurants close by - especially the Indian... More
