Spent three nights at the lodge, while the weather did not cooperate, the lodge and Antony and staff were excellent. The room was beautifully decorated and the breakfasts were outstanding. They booked on a tour of the Cape which was also excellent. I highly recommend Blackheath.

Had a fabulous stay at this lodge. It's a little oasis, a place where you can relax and recharge your batteries before heading out again. Antony and the staff were first class, offering friendly, helpful and excellent service throught our stay (fellow hoteliers need look no further for an example of service excellence). We were a group of 9, and...

He and the staff make sure that every question is answered and your every need is addressed. Being first time visitors, the service provided by the lodge made our stay in Cape Town exceptional. I read all the other comments on tripadvisor before we booked and thought if Blackhealth Lodge was half as good as stated, then we should enjoy ourselves. In fact it was as good as everyone said it would be and Antony made sure we were treated like 5 star guests. Thanks again to all the beautiful staff that made our...

Sometimes, when on vacation, you just want a place to stay because the vacation is all about why you are at that location or doing during the day/evening. But that is NOT the case when you stay at Blackheath, because Blackheath becomes part of your vacation experience. The staff relaxes you the minute you are greeted. The rooms are so...

My partner and I stayed at the Blackheath Lodge for five nights in May, 2012. It was the highlight of a three-week trip to Africa (two weeks of which were spent in South Africa). As soon as we were greeted (by name) at the front door upon checking-in, and stepped foot into the immaculately decorated and maintained common area, we...

I ended my 2 week long Cape Town trip here and I'm sooo happy I did. It is the perfect place to stay! I loved everything! The hotel is small, charming and beautiful, located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood close to everything. Antony (the owner) is attentive and full of advice on planning while the entire staff is just...
