This was the best hostel I have ever been to - and I have seen many. Perfect for people who want to party, meet new people and have a good time. The atmosphere is really familiar and the rooms have everything you need.

I had read some decent reviews on this place, and at first glance it was ok, the bigger guy was nice and helpful, but I had to place my things in storage and when I came back that night, an idiot took over. This blond jerk was rude, not at all helpful. The room was supposed to be a private...

Big thanks to all the staff here for making me feel so welcome, I had am awesome second time here, the backpackers is full of most excellent people. Mike & Marius who manage the bar are super friendly. Great inner courtyard. Its an easy place to meet fellow travellers - with a few people living at the hostel everyone is in the loop on cape town events. Cheap beer :) I stayed for 3 nights, went to Muizenberg and came back for 3 more nights. Enough said.

I'm not the biggest fan of Long Street Backpackers... While I love the Long Street area and its location, the hostel itself wasn't the best. Staff wasn't the friendliest or the most professional. Rooms were decent sized and physically, the hostel is quite attractive, but customer service was not where it should be.

Just spent a week in Cape Town and we decided to do 4 days on Long Street. Do not regret choosing Long Street Backpackers. The staff Marius, Mike, Emma and Beatrice we're all very friendly and helpful. We had a great braai night on Friday which I always love in hostels. The bathrooms were always clean and so was the...

Long Street Backpackers is an excellent choice if you're looking for a chill spot right in the middle of town. Grab all the action you want out on Long St or settle up in the hostel with good music, cool people, and cold beers. Thank you Marious, Mike, and Emma, and others, for the accommodations, braai, booking tours, and kindness!...

I recently visited Long street backpackers, stayed in the dorm and I was very impressed. Marius and Emma were very professional and friendly. The most striking thing was the cleanliness, probably one of the cleanest backpackers that I've stayed in anywhere in the world! Keep up the good work guys!
