We were so happy with our 4-night stay at Welgelegen Guesthouse. With decor that ranges from chic to shabby chic, it feels lived-in, cozy and stylish at the same time. Fiona and her staff work hard to make sure everything goes your way--from booking taxis or airport connections to making restaurant reservations- even working miracles to fix a mixed-up reservation...

Stayed here 5 days. The staff was wonderful, location was perfect, walking distance to Kloof St. and great restaurants. The accommodations were very good, clean, updated, comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and did I already say the Staff was exceptional, I can't thank them enough for helping make my husband's 1st trip and first impression to Cape Town so rewarding.

This B&B is perfect for your stay in Capetown. It is at the foot of Table Mountain, right near excellent restaurants , follow the staff recommendations. Delicious breakfast to start your day, interesting art, comfortable sitting room and home baked cookies.

When you decide on where to stay you consider a lot of variables right - Welgelegen has everything you need & want (& more). It's located just minutes walk from Kloof Street, literally 8-10 minutes drive from V&A waterfront, 5minutes (tops) from table mountain & downtown (city centre Cape Town). The hotel, a combination of two houses with a connecting courtyard was a perfect location for us spending 4 nights in Cape Town. Their staffer Simon was really welcoming and very helpful. He was a pleasure to work with. The breakfasts were delicious; the rooms with their high ceilings were grand, and we even had a view of Table Mountain....

Many thanks to Benson and Alex for their excellent care. They accommodated every request, arranging dinner reservations and pre-breakfast snacks. The hotel itself is beautiful - the rooms were spotless and comfortable and the bathrooms somehow managed to be quaint and modern at the same time - something to do with the claw-foot bathtubs I think., It is located just...

I would like to thank Karen and her team for making us feel welcome and accommodating whatever we needed during our stay. Excellent recommendations for eating out and the cooked breakfast we had was delicious. We had to buy some of that signature scent Welgelegen place in the rooms to bring back home, definitely will come back.
