While I only stayed at the Walden for one night, I was very impressed with, well, everything! The warmth and helpfulness of the staff was lovely. My room, the luxury garden suite, was exquisite and true to the pictures online. The bed, linens and all the little extras in the room where very thoughtfully included. The outside areas, including pool,...

Booked on a cruise from Cape Town, my wife and I decided to go early and spend a couple of days in Cape Town before going on board. The Walden House is a boutique hotel, a 10-minute taxi ride out of the center, just off the road to Table Mountain. We were booked into Room 1, a delightful garden room at...

We had an awesome stay at The Walden House. We were on our honeymoon and were given the best suite in the house. It was incredibly comfortable- the bathroom was amazing, with a huge tub and double shower! Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were lovely. And the location was great! It was safe, close to great restaurants and very...

Our first accommodation on our first visit to SA. Loved it. All staff are friendly, helpful & courteous. Very safe residential area. We arrived late, but were greeted fine. No view from our room (facing back), but quiet. Balcony at front upstairs lovely to sit and take in views. Quite a few local restaurants, we liked Rick's, 5-10 min walk...

We have resently visited The Walden House. The Walden House is a fine small elderly hotel carefully renovated. Breakfast is very good with many choices. The staff is competent and helpful. It seems as if it is a sport for them to fulfill their guests wishes. Carsten and Birgitte Aner.

We had a warm welcome when we arrived at this hotel. We were shown to our room which happened to be the honeymoon suite. It was enormous, tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and with everything we could possibly need. I loved it and would certainly return there when we are in Cape Town again.

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful spacious rooms, excellent central location, delicious breakfast, immaculate garden and plunge pool (though a few more loungers would be good). We'll be back with family and friends.

Great location to tour around Cape Town. Nice clean room and friendly service. Nice little coffee shop just a block away. Breakfast room is lovely with good selection for such a small guest house. Secure parking in the compound was tight.
