Nice location, lively atmosphere and clean, just what you need. Central and walking distance to restaurants. The famous Seapoint Promenade is right in front of the Hotel. What we Liked · Value for Money and location is great. Front office staff are great and very friendly. Room is basic but nice and just what you need. Small hotel and clean What we Disliked · Restaurant staff attitude is appalling.. on our departure morning we asked for milk some milk to take up to our room for our coffee to the front desk staff, who where lovely. The front desk staff then went over to the restaurant staff to get the milk.. they were treated appealingly for for fulling a guest request. When we received our milk, I said thank you to the restaurant staff, I did not even get an acknowledgment.. This is shocking as he got the milk from the Coffee Machine. Restaurant staff needs some attitude adjustment towards hotel guests…
Came down to spend a few days with a girlfriend . The room was perfect for what I needed. The bed was comfortable, the room and shower clean, hot water, WiFi that worked all in all a good few days at this hotel. Easy and simple check in with friendly staff. Did not eat at the Hotel so cannot comment. Close to central Cape Town, Sea Point and the V&A Waterfront.
Location on sea front with a 3 day hop on hop off bus pass. All routes stopping right outside with buses every 10 mins and 5 mins to V&A Waterfront , Cafe very popular with young trendy customers with music many evenings, but stopping at midnight. Ocean views from the front bedrooms which are clean with good en suite shower rooms. Good value compared to many in Cape town.
My husband and I spent 4 nights at La Splendida at the beginning of our visit to South Africa. This charming little hotel is a big part of why I would love to return to Cape Town. Every staff member was welcoming and helpful. Our room was simply furnished but spotless and comfortable. The included breakfast was just right. The location, across from the Green Point Lighthouse and overlooking the sea, was absolutely delightful. We explored the city and surrounding areas (Winelands tour, highly recommend) and were so happy to return to Splendida at the end of each day. Truly a gem.
The hotel is situated directly across the street from the Green Point Lighthouse which only becomes a problem when there is fog, a big Problem. When there is fog the Lighthouse uses its fog horn every 30 seconds. That's really annoying at night. Also the hotel cooperates with a restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is located in the same building and you can choose from t different dishes. Don't take the croissant, it's ridiculous. There is also the problem that the restaurant is very busy and so the water front rooms are very noisy until midnight. Otherwise the hotel is fine and clean if you can overlook small stuff.
