We stayed here for four nights during our honeymoon. The hotel is ideally located for the Waterfront, Table Mountain and exploring the city. The staff were fantastic, and so helpful. they helped us to get tickets to the 7s, organise a hire car and recommend some great places to eat. The rooms are fairly basic, but if you're in Cape...

We had a stay for 3 nights to visit Cape Town and loved the location of the Victoria and Alfred hotel, situated in the middle of the tourist and port area.Although the main floor was under renovation we were welcomed very warmly; staff was very helpful to show us our room on the second floor. The room was spacious and...

Have just returned from our Cape Town holiday, after staying 8 nights at the V&A hotel. Stayed in a Superior Loft room - granted it was a loft room but superior, not in my opinion. Where do I start; the room was very dated, with dark furniture & only two uncomfortable 'dining room style' chairs to sit on other than...

The location is wonderful but the hotel need work. The windows in the rooms need replacing as they are damaged and some are almost falling out. The restaurant is more like a cafe, than the standard you would expect in a hotel claiming 4*+ The menus are horrible and feel grubby, as do the tables. The restaurant service - with...

V & A Waterfront is a nice place to go for lunch, dinner or just walk around. There you will find good restaurants, store and there is a very close mall for shopping. There is also an easy parking place. I went for a dinner and enjoyed the sunset and it was worth it!

Three nights stay at a centrally located hotel. Fairly modern establishment in the heart of the shopping district. Breakfast has ample options available hot and cold. The rooms are spacious; avoid the piazza facing rooms as you will get a lot of busking noise from the streets. We did have a problem with the toilet in our room and after...

We really enjoyed being in the heart of the action at the waterfront in this hotel. The room was spacious with a full view of Table Mountain, and the lagoon. Amenities in the room are up to date but there is still a charm of being in an older quality hotel. Service from everyone was outstanding, with the most helpful...

Our first visit to Cape Town and South Africa and we were not disappointed with the accommodation. The rooms are spacious, clean and neat and house keeping has a good eye for detail. The location is perfect within walking distance to all amenities in the water front. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

We love to stay at the Vic and Alfred hotel for its central location. We walk straight out to Ferryman's brewery where we love to people watch and have lunch before shopping in the beautiful Victoria and Alfred mall. There are many restaurants in and on the outside of the mall that gives great water views and of Table Mountain.

The V & A couldn't be better located. Our room was water front and we could sit and watch all kinds of water activity. It was right on the waterfront boardwalk so each night we could shop, be entertained, find a great restaurant (loved Gibson's for the best hamburgers), go to Robben Isle terminal, etc. The room was reburbished and...
