We stayed at the Victor & Alfred Hotel in the Waterfront for 4 days in a superior double room with water and mountain view. The room is absolutely luxurious and has the most breathtaking views of the waterfront and table mountain. If I was not a Capetonian I could've been in any city in the world - absolutely spectacular. The staff are very friendly and very professional and cater to your every need. I will definitely return.
In the V&A Waterfront, the not-to-be missed star of Cape Town, there are some exquisite 5 star hotels like the Cape Grace, One & Only Hotel, and Table Bay Hotel. They will cost a pretty penny tho. If you are looking for something a lot more affordable look no further than the Victoria & Alfred Hotel. The location cannot be beat. It’s as good a 4 star hotel as you could possibly hope for. The hotel has a quaint and intimate feel. The check-in was quick and warm. There was a handwritten welcome note in the room. The room is a comfortable size and well appointed. The bathroom was modern and extremely clean and the shower great with excellent water pressure. I booked my stay with buffet breakfast. The restaurant setting (Ginja) where I had breakfast was stunning and tranquil, and the food quality was excellent, and service good too. Covid protocols are currently in place for the buffet section. In addition to the buffet we were able to order items off the menu too. Included in the photos I took are the magnificent view of the water and Table Mountain which you have from where I sat inside the restaurant this morning and from the outside seating area on the water. I would definitely stay here again.…
The staff are great, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately if you stay in this hotel you are unlikely to get good sleep at any point (day or night) due to the location being on the doorstep of the waterfront where people are constantly playing live music. It was disturbing and I did not get a single good nights sleep. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.
We had the most amazing experience. All of the staff are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The food @Ginja Restaurant is delicious. The prawn and wine platter combo was so good that we had to go back for it again the next day. Thank you to Andy and everyone else for making our weekend so special. See you soon xxx
From the moment we have checked in we were met with smiles and excellent service. We came as guests and left as family. Everyone was well trained and helpful. The managers were all hands-on and well trained to please their customers.
