Very angry night manager. Worst experience I have ever had. The location is very good ,but I have never had such a experience ever as with the night night manager after we came in late! I shall never stay there again.

Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is good. Unfortunately the rooms face the street and are noisy at night. the location is not great for holiday makers. if you don't have a car you are lost as you are a long way from the waterfront. The room can do with an upgrade. just another picture on the wall might... More

i needed one extra day in Cape Town before joining a tour group. The tour hotel was over $300 Can a night, while the Parliament was <$100 and only a couple of blocks away. It was a little dated, but clean and the bed was as good as the tour hotel's. I'm not sure what some reviewers found lacking in... More

We stayed here for three days and the place was not too bad. The rooms were clean and had enough space to move around. The beds are a bit too hard, but some people like that. The bathroom could use a make over. You have to pay R60 per night for parking or you can park on the streets. Breakfast... More

My wife and I were only passing through Cape Town in between train journeys and needed a nice, cheapish place near the main train station. In spite of it’s low price we noticed that this establishment had a relatively high approval rating so we made our booking. It was an easy walk from the train station (after I managed to... More

I have stayed here for 3 years in a row for the Argus. The staff are always fantastic. Very friendly and helpful which we love. This year however, we felt the breakfast offered was not as good as before - especially the breakfast on the Argus race day. Previously there was always Oats. We were also disappointed that our room... More
