In no.163 apartment. Not very nice at all. The bathroom has obviously been very damp as wall all bubbled but not been repaired just painted over. Bedding didn't smell clean. Not much in the way of basics at all. Very steep steps up to the property and the security door was extremely difficult to open. No air conditioning Wouldn't want...

Just disembarked from MSC Sinfonia and arrived exhausted at reception 137 Waterkant Street. Being a pensioner and after major surgery 6 weeks ago, made to walk with my friends and family half a kilometre up the road, with all our luggage to our accommodation. No staff assistance available. Will never be visiting this place soon👿

Warning just because your safe has your combination set up , is in a locked bedroom and the area is gated it doesn't mean it is SAFE! We had money stolen from a house in Waterkant Village in just these circumstances. On checking TripAdvisor we were the third victim in just over 12 months My suggestion to keep yourself safe...

As with many multi-apartment hotel groups, some of their units for rent are shown on websites, like Hotels.com, and some are not. We rented unit Number 165 as part of De Waterkant Village Hotel offering, and its clear this unit was not shown via pictures when we booked on Hotels.com. The cost for the unit was low at $85 per...

This village is a group of privately owned apartments administered by a management company. We loved the location and the atmosphere reminded us of San Francisco. We had a good experience with the management company and the staff at the corner cafe were great. Our apartment was in a quiet location and was perfect for our needs. The owner needs...

A great place to stay; tastefully decorated and comfortable. The location is excellent; no need for a car; taxis are available in abundance and the staff very friendly. The breakfast buffet was scrumpteous and is a beautiful setting.

the apartment (Stud 8 in Loader str.) was nice, although we thought there was a pool there...it was the neighbours pool. Patio was nice but too dark, as there are too many trees there, almost no sun. No wifi or internet in apartment which was really bad...only in the lobby which was approx. 5 min walk. Apartment nice, clean and...

Terrible service, air condition was broken and we were promised to get it fixed every day for all of our 8 days stay. Some other things did not either work but they managed to fix these during the week. The manager Pieter Ras promised us refund due to the poor service but it has now been a month and a...

We arrived to check in at The Charles after a very long journey from the UK. We were rather surpised to be shown to a house at the other end of the street - De Waterkant House. However, our basement room was spacious with an excellent shower room and there was a lounge that we could sit in and a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Colourful De Waterkant Village is a unique European influenced village of semi-detached quaint cottages and cobbled streets preserved from the 1760's. Cradled between the city and the V&A Waterfront, De Waterkant Village is avant-garde, a cultural urban refuge highlighted by the abundance of restaurants, art galleries, clubs, salsa clubs, tapas bars and Parisian inspired cafe's. Drawing comparisons from cultural and artistic villages from all over the world, De Waterkant embraces individuality and theatricality, echoed in the architecture and vibrancy of its residents and visitors. From serviced apartments, houses, guest houses and traveller's rooms De Waterkant Village has it all and lodgings at the village are as diverse and eclectic as the place itself. In keeping with the feel of an authentic traveller's village, guests can enjoy services and facilities when staying in apartments or houses, such as a service centre, concierge, housekeeping and breakfast at The Village Cafe every morning. ... more   less
