I stayed at this hotel as part of a trip to the World Cup, so was obviously subject to the price hikes that happened during the tournament. The location was superb, with just a 5 minute walk to the busy Waterfront but also a 5 minute walk into central Cape Town and the cultural sights. A no frills business hotel...

We came here for the World Cup along with our very active one-year-old. First of all, we found the location to be quite central. There was even the big red touring double-decker bus station right behind the hotel. Took very little time to travel by public transport or taxi to the V&A Waterfront or to the Green Point Stadium. The...

My first time reviewing a hotel. Simply put, I feel like I have to spend my own time to warn people how TERRIBLE this place was! Stay AWAY from this hotel no matter what "good" reviews you have read about it. I am working in US, and had a conference trip to Cape Town in May 2010, lived in Capetonian...

It was a great place, where one spends cash according to quality and quantity. The porters were very quick to get our bags, and very helpful. They have a good reception with a noisy parrot and handsome receptionists. Only some chefs disappointed us because they sincerely did not like black people. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. There's a...

The comfortable, well-situated Capetonian Hotel was very pleasant to stay,---happy memories. our suite at the top floor was exquisite inspite of the need to walk one floor----the lifts operate upto the lower floor only. The Capetonian is conveniently situated opposite the newly constructed Cape Town International Convention Center and Roggebaai Canal which flows to the famous Waterfront. With its elegant...

It is in the Business district, there is a little bus that brings you to the Waterfront every hour. It is clean, breakfast is very good, the staff is kind, qualified and very nice! Highly recommended.
