Stayed at Ashanti just for one night in Nov 2016. The lodge was a welcome relief compared to other lodges I had stayed in. The staff were really friendly and organised, the check in was really professional and caring. The views of the mountain were just outstanding, better than some hotels you pay alot of money for. The rooms were...

It was late on a Saturday night and we hit the town for a couple of drinks. Not wanting to drive home I called through to one of my old favorite hang outs, Ashanti Lodge in Gardens. I asked off chance if a room in the guest house was available and we were in luck. We were greeted by a...

I stayed underneath the bar which was extremely loud until late at night. Staff are excellent but the place looks tired and could do with a refresh. Beds are a bit wibbily wobbily but otherwise comfortable. room lockers and safes are pretty knackered. Lack of plug sockets in the rooms. The inhouse served food is cheap but a bit crap....

Hello Alan Thank you so much for the constructive criticism and I completely hear you. We are slowly, slowly trying to give the place a complete face-lift ut it is tricky to operate and renovate. I am not sure if you saw the upstairs showers and toilets? The downstairs ones will be done very soon to the same standard. Also...

Having been on the road seeing the Garden Route for 3 weeks it was nice to come to Ashanti and feel I could relax a bit. All the staff are friendly and clearly working hard and means you know how clean and looked after everything is. The pool area that gets sun on it all day. Not big enough to...

I think it is good to tip the house keeping for their hard wok and the tipping boxes should be placed in the rooms no at the reception and should be labelled clearly. Thank you house keeping for keeping Ashanti sparkling

I have stayed here a few times and really enjoyed it. Personal safe and lockers under beds. The window in one of the rooms didnt close properly (although it was warm enough to have it open) and the music was often too loud to sleep in an evening (had a few long tiring days). Bar was very reasonably priced although...

This little backpackers/full on hotel is tucked between Table mountain and the sea. The rooms are very comfortable and you can get anything from a dorm to a private room. Also the toilet on the top floor has an among view of table mountain. Lovely little courtyard pool but the eager swimmer be warned! It is Very cold! More of...

This place exceeded my expectations. The rooms and bathrooms were well kept and clean. The best part of this place would be the staff as they are helpful and generally lovely people. The place has a great vibe and really good food.

Good Wi-fi, clean linen/bedding, extra-blanket for cold periods, clean communal, the hospitality and reception has room for improvement, need to celebrate diversity as this is lacking, helpers need to take time to show the guest the facilities offered and allow for guests to ask questions

Hi there! Thank you for your review. We do have extra blankets on the beds for colder periods to go with the duvets, so I am surprised that you still found it chilly but if you had asked reception I am sure that they could have organised more. In terms of diversity, we employ staff based on their availability and...
