Underberg deserves its 5 Star rating. Previous reviews are spot on. Our neighbor, who's from Africa, recommended Underberg and we felt like family from the moment we arrived. Beautiful property, clean & comfortable rooms, great breakfast. Owners, Anne and Bruce are so friendly and helpful. Easy walk to town. Why stay anywhere else?

Perfect location, safe and with the most helpful couple-owners we ever met! When we ever come back to this fantastic city, we would always choose this guest house again for sure! "Honest bar" made our evenings absolutely fantastic! Thanks again for the best Cape Town experience :)

We were really well looked after by Ann who organised everything - collected from the airport, given guide books for a walk up table mountain and booked on various tours and trips. Room was fabulous, breakfast superb. Ate in local restaurants - great value! Stay here!

Highly recommend Underberg for a great base from which to explore Cape Town. Anne is extremely helpful and will offer advise and make bookings. The guest house was spotless and in a lovely characterful colonial building. Breakfast is good with cereals, pastries, fruit and yoghurt as well as a cooked option. It is easy to get around CT from here...

Wonderful place with great location, helpful owners and delicious breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights and each night went to a wonderful local restaurant (Miller's Thumb, Arnold's & Rick's Americana). The owners also recommended the wonderful food/craft market on Saturdays at the Old Biscuit Mill.
