Wonderful guest house with elegant furnishings, delicious breakfasts and attentive hosts Bruce and Anne who are ever obliging with any requests and excellent local knowledge. We sadly only had 3 days in Cape Town and their expert advice meant we utilised the time perfectly. The location is also quite safe and we were able to walk during the day down...

We stayed here for 2 nights in January 2016. The guesthouse is beautiful, and well looked after. The hosts Anne and Bruce are fantastic and helpful. The location is 5 minutes from Kloof Street, in a safe area. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone planning their trip here.

This is a lovely place to stay if you are looking for a personable, simple, clean accommodation. Great location and breakfast (continental and cooked English). Nothing was too much trouble; for example, we told our host (Bruce) that we were off to the beach and he leant us beach towels with no extra cost or hassle. The location is near...

Bruce and Anne are great hosts, which is what you need for a city break in a city such as Cape Town. We arrived with our minds set on the 'obvious' things we wanted to do - Table Mountain, Cape Point, Robben Island etc - but Bruce was very helpful at giving other suggestions, as you might say off-the-beaten-track. We...

My wife and I booked our Cape Town vacation a bit late and were forced to stay at three different places over the course of 10 days. Luckily for us the Underberg was our first stop and my only wish is that we could have stayed there the entire 10 days. This is without a doubt the place to stay....

I loved my stay at Underberg. Bruce and Anne are very friendly and lovely hosts. The property is very well renovated and tastefully decorated. I loved everything about this guesthouse especially the staff, the cleanness, the breakfast, the comfortable bed, and the quiet neighborhood. I felt at home away from home and I can't wait to go back to Cape...

Beautifully renovated villa with spacious rooms and nice interior. Likewise warm-hearted host, we even got reminded of not forgetting our sunblocker :-) Perfectly located for a city trip. Enjoyed our stay, thanks!

We stayed in Cape Town at the end of a Safari/Garden Route trip - and Underberg was the perfect place. Without any knowledge of CT, the photos of the guest house were appealing. The place itself is even better than the photos showed. The public areas including the dining/lounge room area are tastefully put together so you have the feel...

Returning frequently to Cape Town to visit my son who lives there I find that there is no nicer place to stay than at the Underberg Guest House in Tamboerskloof. The beauty of the house, cleanliness and pleasant service from the owners Ann and Bruce and their staff remains constant, providing for a very pleasant stay.
