Nestled in a prime location, the Pepperclub Hotel garners accolades for its spacious and modern rooms complete with stunning views, which many guests find to offer great value. While the establishment's cleanliness receives high marks, particularly for its spotless quarters, there is some critique regarding the provision of towels and gym facilities. The central setting is a hit for those eager to explore Cape Town, though noises from the nightlife can intrude on the serene atmosphere. Service at the Pepperclub is generally celebrated for its warmth and efficiency, even if occasional inconsistencies arise. The hotel's amenities, including the diverse breakfast and shuttle service, are popular among guests, though some have experienced less-than-ideal spa services.

Having flown in to Capetown early morning from Heathrow I had booked The Pepperclub hotel just for 1night as we were moving to Franschoek the following day to meet our family.
We were welcomed at reception even though it was before 8am with a lovely smile and informed them that we were being picked up at 11am to visit Table Mountain.
The receptionist then offered us a room to get showered & changed and a porter arrived to take us up to the room.
We showered and came down to be told we could have breakfast if we wanted FOC but we just ordered coffees but thanked them for their kindness.
Our luggage was then put in storage and we were informed it would be in our room on our return.
The hotel was excellent and I would have booked longer if I hadn’t already booked our other 4 nights in Capetown later that week already. Great staff, privately owned and you could tell. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was fabulous.
Would recommend to anyone visiting Capetown. A big thank you to all the team at The Pepperclub for a wonderful 1st night stay in Capetown.

Stayed with my wife for six days’ vacation in Cape town at this hotel. The service and hotel were very nice, in general it’s a regular hotel in high class. What could possibly go wrong, nothing!
We had lovely six days in this hotel with a great room with view to Table Mountain as ordered, nice! The room, bed, sofas everything was great with the room, if I may mention something. The floor tiles in the bathroom was rather slippery when wet. But walking carefully after the shower was a very small problem, if you ask me.
We used the concierge service a lot and they were stunning in service and organizing, trips, restaurant reservations/tips, transportation etc, super service there!
We had breakfast in the restaurant which was ok, but the made to order dishes was in my taste
a bit too unstable in quality. I.e. the hollandaise sauce perfect in balance (acidity) one the day and next day sour as pure lemon. Not a huge problem, but still for sure disturbing the experience.
The bar was great, nice service and we also the opportunity to be on site at their monthly celebration- first Thursday at the month with nice finger food for free and great atmosphere
in the bar during that begin of the evening, thanks so much for that nice experience!
Overall, I warmly recommend the Pepper club hotel, it’s a nice hotel with good service! We had a very nice stay there and I really liked the hotel location in the city. Felt like it was situated in a rather safe area and we were looking for a city location to avoid the high touristic area around Waterfront, were many other hotels are situated.

Stayed for two nights after our cruise. The staff is by far the nicest I've ever experienced. Breakfast was included with our room and it was somewhat limited but had enough selections to get your day started. The hotel location is one block away from Long Street where there are numerious restaurants and bars. It's about a five minute walk to the HOHO bus office. It is also one block from Bree Street where we ate dinner at two different restaurants. The shuttle to V& A Waterfront was an added bonus. I highly recommeend this hotel.

If the guest is expecting to have a hood service, good sleeping and feel as a special guest, this is not the most recommended hotel.
During the night there is too much noise and the service is poor. The staff takes ages to attend our requests, when attend us, the housekeepers are badly trained and everyday miss something or forget to change towels or make the beds

As we only had a three nights in CT over New Year, it would have been better to be closer to the Waterfront for the NYE celebrations.
However, the staff were lovely - in particular, Phillip on main reception, wine buff Lloyd and restaurant staff Sam and Jimmy. It never ceases to amaze me how globally popular the Premier League is, and you can engage with anyone!
Breakfasts were very good considering the food was a ready prepared buffet style. There was none of the overcooked scrambled egg scenario that often ends up on the plate. Plenty of choice of breads, and healthy options too.
The COPA restaurant was a good setting for dinner. A tasty menu, and the dishes were well presented by the friendly staff. The NYE dinner was an ambitious multi course event accompanied by live music making a somewhat quieter alternative to the liveliness of the street parties outside!
Gym facilities were pretty good, with a fabulous view over the cable car up Table Mountain!

Excellent service, beautiful view of Table Mountain from our room. Good WIFI. Tall wall to wall windows and large balcony. It would have been nice to have had some seating on the balcony, but it seemed to be windy at times., so that may have been impractical. The room was large, clean and had a nice sitting area. Free shuttle to Camps Bay and the Wharf were an added bonus. Breakfast was delicious and items on the cooked to order menu included in the buffet were unique and tasty. Cafe foods were very good and reasonably priced. The hotel gives guest a discount. Bar choices varied. The spa services were excellent and discounts offered on Friday made prices even more attractive. Location was a block off Long Street and our 11th floor room was quiet. Of special note were the services of the concierge. Great recommendations for dining , tours and he made all reservations for our activities. Very friendly staff. We appreciated checkin with a welcome drink and seating. We will definitely return to this hotel when next visiting Capetown.

I had a wonderful stay at the Pepperclub. The hotel is great value for money partnered with a luxury experience of Sparking wine on arrival. Valet parking and breakfast in bed experience.
The hotel is close to everything you need and if you plan on having all your activities around Camps Bay, City Centre and V&A then you do not need a car.
The King Size bed was comfortable and event though it is two single beds put together you do not feel it like you would in other hotels.

I have been to the Cayenne Spa for several years, based in this hotel. The spa treatments have always been good, although the facilities need a serious upgrade. There are no towels outside the shower in the changing room, no lotion at the hand sink, no towels or paper towels to wipe one's hands. The rooms for the treatment are however spacious, comfortable and well resourced. The therapists are well trained and offer excellent massages and facials. There are also no drinks or eats afterwards as other 5 star hotel spa's have.
A disappointment in my recent visit is that the hotel's rules suddenly changed and I was asked to pay an exorbitant amount for parking there on a Sunday, which, if I knew, I would have opted for off-street parking which was free. There is no signage to say there are parking tariffs and the security guard said nothing when I entered. It is suddenly pounced on one when for years those using the spa could park for free.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we appreciate that you have taken the time to share your experience with us. We are pleased to hear that our spa therapists provide excellent service. We are aware of the upgrades the spa needs and we are in the process of upgrading the key areas in the spa, providing a better experience to our guests. With regards to the parking, we do apologise that you were not informed before your spa treatment that parking is no longer complimentary for our spa guests. The parking is outsourced and as this is a separate company, we can no longer offer complimentary parking. We have spoken to our team, to avoid this issue going forward. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kindest regards, Keri Lee Fletcher

The Cayenne Spa at The Pepperclub Hotel is warm and welcoming with beautiful roof top views. However, our experience differred. We booked for a couples massage but was given 2 seperate rooms. We queried with the therapist and was advised that the couples room was fully booked and we should have requested the room at reception upon booking.
We weren't even offered the option when the booking had been done. It's a couples massage, it would be obvious to have the couple in the same room.
Our session was rushed and shortened by 10 minutes.
The time was unequally allocated to the full body massage. (I had a 10 minute massage on the left arm but a 5 minute massage on the right arm)

The aim of the evening was to de-stress, however, it was such a disappointing experience as we definitely expected more at a 5 star hotel.

Good Day Anni, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I would like to sincerely apologize for the miscommunication on our side as we should have informed you that the couples room at the spa was booked during the time slot you were offered. This is not up to our standard and I can assure you that your feedback has been shared with our Front office and Spa team to ensure that this is communicated properly when making spa bookings. Again, I am sincerely sorry that you were not provided with a relaxing experience and we hope to welcome you back to provide you with the true Cayenne Spa experience. Sincerely, Emily Jane

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pepper club and could find nothing to complain about. The concierge/ front door guys do a great job and the free shuttle service is first class, we made full use of this and the fellas who did the driving are a credit to the hotel.

The front desk receptionists are all very professional and courteous, this level of service extends to the breakfast staff and the excellent bar tender, such a nice man.

Our room was spot on and very comfortable, the housekeepers did a great job of cleaning and servicing our room and we would like to say thank you to them for that.

We travel a lot and stay in many different hotels, this place is comfortable, with friendly staff and it felt like home to us during our 4 night stay. I can fully recommend staying at the Pepper Club. Mr Reed.UK

Good day, Thank you for your question regarding our pool area. Our Pool is located on the 8th floor which provides our guests an area to be outside with a fantastic view of Table Mountain! Unfortunately it is not a "Roof Top" Pool. Our Presidential Suite as well as our Pent House do offer the guests a Roof Top Pool however that is not available to all of our in house guests- only those who book the room. I hope this information finds you well and if you need anything else please let me know. Sincerely, Emily Jane

Hi Joy , we were on the 10th floor , you can hear the droning of bass ( and we were on the opposite side of the clubs) the breakfast is suitable for vegetarians, not sure about dinner though but there are many restaurants in the area and the free shuttles services to v&a waterfront will be ideal as there are many vegetarian friendly restaurants there .
