This was my first time at a backpackers. I loved this place, it didn't take itself too seriously, but at the same time remained professional throughout. It was clean and secure and the staff offered really helpful advice, honest and not sales-pushy. I'll definitely stay there again.. In fact I'm off to the sister establishment in Zambia next at the...

We stayed for 7 nights at CT backpackers and enjoyed every night of it. Cape town is simply awesome!! The location is convenient and staff is very helpful with the planning of trips and calling taxi's. Breakfast was good, bar not so busy. There were some nice restaurants straight around the corner and long street within reach. We did the...

With the great atmosphere, it was easy to get along with the guests and staff. I enjoyed my stay and wish I had more time. It was also short walk to long st and other shops, so it has a great location. I slept in a seven mix dorm and had no problems.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Cape Town Backpackers on New Church Rd for 4 nights. It was clean, friendly, charming, comfortable, value for money and great location. Only negatives were a mix up in room bookings meant we had to change rooms a couple of times and it could be a bit noisy at on occasions during the...

Staff were excellent and very friendly, great to have a chat with around the bar (only people staying at the hostel allowed at the bar or their friends so no random locals can drink there). Location is good, not far to long street but not noisy at night if you want to get an early night. Top place and highly...

Another brilliant stay, can't resist coming back here! Staff are awesome, the hostel is constantly being revamped and updated but keeps its natural charm. What a beauty! Great being so close to Table Mountain with the changeable weather...means you can look out the window and see if it's clear then get up to the cable car in 15 minutes! Thanks...

I left the backpackers after staying there for about 2 weeks. I asked them to lock my massive travellers suitcase in the storeroom and that I would pick it up at a later date as I was travelling around Cape Town and didn't want to lug this massive bag around. Upon my return to collect my life's belongings which were...
