Stayed for three nights at the end of our three week trip round South Africa. First class accommodation. Nice big room with terrace. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent breakfasts. Ideally situated in a quiet location at the foot of Table Mountain, only 15 minutes by taxi to the waterfront.

It would be unfair to reduce this guest house to the amazing view because the modern rooms (electricity in the bathroom ;-) )and the breakfast cam easily match the view. The hosts are friendly as well. That's all you need. Hope to be back soon.

This is a really lovely guest house on the slopes of Table Mountain. The breakfast served on the terrace overlooking Cape Town is fabulous and the owners helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and ours had a direct view of the mountain from our bed. It is within walking distance of nice restaurants but just be aware that it...

See if you can book the big room at the top . . . To wake up and go to sleep to that view is simply heavenly. I just loved waking up before anyone else so I could make a nice cup of rooibos tea and sit and drink in the beauty of the city and the mountain. The owners...

Quick access by taxi to Victoria and Albert shopping centre for lucious seafood. We prefer staying in these family run establishments than larger 5 star hotels Tour companies picked up from...

My wife and I travelled to Cape Town and it was our first time in SA. De Tafelberg is an unbelievable B&B and we couldn't imagine a better stay in Cape Town. The owners were super friendly and coordinated day trips and restaurant recommendations. Kris made great eggs and the breakfast spread was delightful. The room we stayed in was...
