If you really need to stay in Beaufort West, the 3 Chimneys is probably as good as anywhere else. The positives are that it is on the main drag through town. It is easy to find and there is a secure place to park. The welcome sherry was welcome and I got everything I expected from a 12 hour stop... More

The staff were friendly and informative. We only stayed one night. The room was large and well maintained. There is a kitchen that can be used by guests. I had a chance to walk around the house before leaving. It is lovely and well decorated.

An old home that has been well cared for and has a couple of modern touches. The rooms are small to standard size. The bathroom in my room was particularly small and cramped...but clean. TV available in the rooms. Within walking distance of a few eating places. There's a swimming pool with a nice patio to cool off in the... More

Loved the history of the house and that the original look was kept with modern finishes. Staff were very friendly and helpful as our DSTV was not working and the gentleman worked on it until he got it working. Thank you for a great start to our family holiday. Kind regards The Commaille

Toilet seat in our room had not been cleaned when we checked in to our room. Disgusting. All written material states breakfast from 7:15, yet staff refused to serve breakfast before 7:30. Breakfast still not ready even at that time despite our order being placed the previous evening. This kind of delay has a significant impact on those travelling on... More

This is a great place to stay in Beaufort Wes, centrally situated and easy to locate. The staff are helpful and accommodating. The room was great with a lovely bathroom. My only criticism was that the window was sealed shut and we had to rely on noisy air conditioning to circulate the air.

Was well received situated as you get into Beaufortwest very neat and clean stopover. Withing walking distance of restaurants and shops in the main road thought it would be noisy but not at all enjoyed our short stay

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
DEAR GUESTSThe 3 Chimneys Guest House is a charming Victorian Villa, built in 1900 and is packed full of original features such as, Oregon pine floors, lead pressed ceilings and many more.It was home to General Louis Botha in 1914. (Anglo-Boer war)Godwin & Joyce, your Hosts (owner operated), have newly renovated, extended and decorated the establishment, being sympathetic to the era but with your comfort in mind. Our vision is still evolving! It consists of 6 en-suite rooms of various sizes with an aim to accommodate the single business man/woman and families alike. Camping cot available extra and can fit in most rooms. We are renown for our personalized delicious meals and offer our set 3 course 'candlelight dinner' (Mrs Bucket :D) as well as a fresh fully cooked English breakfast in our dining room or in the tree shaded, bird friendly courtyard overlooking the swimming pool. (A kiddies menu always available)Our bar is fully licensed! Relax and enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the guest lounge (in front of a roaring fire in winter). There are 'board games' too & watch your favourite program/sport on a large plasma TV with full 'DStv service'. A 'grassed swing play area' has just been added for the kiddies. Our rooms are comfortable, beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean, air conditioned (Room 6 exception, has industrial ceiling fan) and offer tea/coffee facilities, bottled water, hairdryers, DStv 'hotel bouquet' (due to popular demand we have just added 'kyknet' and disneyJ'), Wi-Fi and mini desks for the businessman/woman. As we don't recommend you drink the tap water (lime) cold bottled water is on tap in the dining room. You are welcome to use our fridge/freezer, iron and “microwave facilities at off peak times in the kitchen.” Laundry by arrangement (for long stays).Your safety is also our concern. There are fire extinguishers at various points, 24 hr armed response, security gates and perimeter wire. Our parking area is behind gates with remote control for your convenience.Your happiness and comfort is OUR PRIORITY. ... more   less
