We did not stay here we just popped in for cocktails one night. The view was nice, the service not so much. We waited a long time for someone to help us. Once we ordered our drinks we waited another very long time (about 45min) for the 3 cocktails and 1 creamsoda. It wasnt a busy night there were only...

The hotel has a good restaurant, nice breakfast and minibar working up to midnight along the pool. It could be perfect, however in my room there was not window and the air freshness was only possible by air conditioner. Recommended ask for it before booking. Supermarket, pubs, banks and many stores in few steps from the hotel.

Stay here if you arrive in town late and / or are not looked for an intimate guesthouse but rather a convenient stop over (not a holiday destination). At first I thought I'd be rating the hotel a 2 or 3. The excellent river location is not taken advantage of as their is a parking lot in between the hotels...

Dear Safari Guy Thank you for the positive comments. We share your views on the river front but alas our challenge is structural. But at least some of our river have the benefit of a river view. Hope to see you in Upington again soon. Kind regards Petra

We were on a business trip and stayed for one night. The hotel is good for a short stay, in my opinion. The room was okay. Decoration was standard and not out of this world. The staff were friendly. Dinner was okay, but we waited a long time for our food. Breakfast was delicious and had variety. The stay was...

After severa days camping with no wifi, it was nice to sit outdoors by the pool and have a relaxing lunch and catch up with the world. Our server was very kind. He made a mean Bloody Mary. We never felt rushed. He allowed us to sit there for a long time after finishing a delicious burger and fries.

While the hotel reception and restaurant area are impressive and looks the part, I definitely cannot say the same about the rooms. We stayed in room 448 which is apparently nothing like the rooms discribed in the rest of the reviews of the hotel...very tiny, outdated and noisy. The shower head has 4 streams of water, horrible tv signal and...

Dear Kady Thank you for taking the time writing a review for us. I am truly sorry that we did not live up to expectations. As you probably noted, we are busy upgrading rooms and had a large conference in-house. This left us very short of rooms and as your reservation was only made at 18h00 on the day of...

This hotel was well situated in the town, close to the Orange river. Ideal to walk up the main street and come back close to the Orange river. Also found that the bar prices were expensive which another reviewer also commented on.
