To stay at Umsisi is a treat. The hospitality is warm, the food outstanding, the location very good near the Numbi gate. The house itself is beautiful with a large veranda for summer nights. We enjoyed cycling as a family.

We remember you all so well! We could not have chosen a better group to host on New Year's Eve 2014! Yes, it did rain on the fireworks but we will never complain about getting rain! Thank you for taking the time to submit this review. We are looking forward to your return. Kind regards Amanda and Paddy

Umsisi House was a delightful experience. Amanda and Paddy were great hosts - all the way through from the booking process to our wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. Close enough to Kruger for game viewing trips, but we were there just to chill around the pool for a couple of days after a game lodge...

#GourmetGetaway! We love it! Thank you! We were thrilled to be able to wow you self-proclaimed foodies from the city with our local, season, fresh, organic produce. We might be based in rural Africa, but we never stop trying. Please come back again soon for some more gourmand delights as you have promised. Kind regards Amanda and Paddy

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set in 60 hectares of pristine bush, within the Jock of the Bushveld Conservancy, umSisi House is strategically located in the Peebles Valley between the town of White River and the Numbi Gate entrance to the southern Kruger Park (15 minutes away). We offer a personal service that only a very small, privately owned and managed, five-star, luxury country house can provide. umSisi House is the perfect destination for groups of friends and family wishing to visit South Africa’s Kruger Lowveld region, the Panorama Route and enjoy the many adventure activities available in the immediate area. The house only caters for private groups (between 4 and 10 people) on either (a) a dinner, bed and breakfast basis or (b) a full board (all inclusive) basis. It is particularly suitable for those looking for luxury accommodation near the Kruger Park. A booking service for local activities (including bespoke Kruger safaris in open game-viewers) is also provided. All meals are planned with guests in advance to ensure that the dining experience is a daily highlight. TGCSA 5-Star Country House. ... more   less
