Very friendly place, clean if a little dated, room and bathroom slightly undersized but very comfortable bed, good breakfast, quiet surroundings and helpful friendly hosts. Great value for money. Would not hesitate to return.

We have stayed at the Bhangazi lodge several times over the the past 10 years and the high standards of friendliness cleanliness and comfort have never changed. Each room has an animal theme (we are in the elephant room) .The attention to detail is fantastic and the facilities great.each room has their own private verandah aircon which is essential in... To be honest, I've never had an actually poor experience in any B&B I've stayed at in SA, so expectations gets a bit warped eventually. Breakfast and service was as good as I've come to expect. Room cleanliness and level of upkeep as well. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants is easy to get in S:t Lucia, but having... More

We stayed here for two nights in December 2013. The owners were friendly and very helpful with direction etc. The rooms were comfortable and had all the necessities, including air-conditioning. They also had snorkeling gear that we could borrow for day trips. The B&B is walking distance from the main road where all the restaurants and shops are. We had... More

Me and 3 friends were going on safari and needed to stay somewhere the night before and this lodge was great. The rooms had everything you needed as well as a huge amount of character. The owners were very nice and helpful. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer as the lodge and St. Lucia were beautiful.

We spent 6 nights in this boutique B&B the location was excellent , there was so much to do in the area The accommodation was excellent and the small pool very welcoming on a hot day. We had the honeymoon suite which was a little larger than the other rooms which was well worth it for very little extra cost.... More

Having travelled extensively world wide, this Lodge was a marvellous place to stay. On entering, the time, care and detail given to providing an immediate cultural experience in the common sitting area was stunning. Impressive! Looking closer, carefully chosen travel/ coffee table books in many languages, television and Internet usage discreetly postioned indicated consideration had been given to guests. Self... More

The Bhangazi Lodge offers lovely animal-themed rooms, many with their own small patios. There is a swimming pool, and pretty gardens..a great place from which to see St Lucia. Fabulous hippo cruises, whale watching, Unesco Heritage Site for the wetlands, warm Indian Ocean beaches -- there's lots to do in this small town, less then 3 hours from Durban. Bhangazi... More
