The rooms are spacious and beautiful with very comfortable beds. It is set in peaceful and quiet gardens which makes for a very relaxing stay. The cottages are far apart which ensures privacy. Worth a visit!

The cottages are very clean and beds super comfortable. Rooms are spacious and decorated beautiful. The grounds are kept neatly and parking secure. The communal kitchen area is well equipped. An excellent choice as it is quite central to the nearby activities

We stayed one night here during our honeymoon in August 2016. The information we got from the agency was not really clear. When we arrived (around 17:30), there was only a guard who gave us an envelope with the keys and one paper containing information about the lodge. The wine shop was already closed and there was no reception. There...

We will never recommend anyone to stay there. We did not enjoy our stay, first of we had to wait for our keys on day of arrival as check in is at 14:00 we waited until 14:30 and then we received sms's and phone calls from owners accusing us of things we did not do. The owners clearly does not...

We stayed one night in one of the 3 cottages and really enjoyed the stay. The cottages are privately situated and each with its own little veranda and barbeque next to the cottage. As mentioned on their website, there is no restaurant on the premises but one can do a barbeque, they do provide wood and one can buy some...

First, service from Jacqui and Thomas was great. Really enjoyed getting to meet them. Ended up running into them at dinner and had a lovely time. Stayed in the rooms on the back of the main building. Nice, big rooms, huge shower, and lovely views. Big common room/kitchen between the rooms. Looks ideal for a family. Enjoyed watching the dykar...

We arrived at around 5pm and were greeted at reception. We received some brochures and advice on things to do and great places to eat. We arrived to our room and it was all we expected, and then some! Tranquility. The beautiful bath tub overlooking a gorgeous landscape got me really excited. I loved the outdoor shower, and that little...

We stayed here as a group of 6 during November 2014, and were accommodated in the farm house which has three large rooms all with ensuite bathrooms, and a communal kitchen and living room area. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms although appearing minimalistic, had luxurious fittings (best shower!). The breakfasts requested were waiting for us in...

Dear Eleanor, Thank you for staying at the Windmill and taking the time to write a review. All reviews are helpful to fellow travelers when choosing destinations. And yours will help remind people we are not a country house / hotel but farm style cottages for rent while exploring our beautiful area. You seem to have had a full program...

We stayed in the 4 Bedroom/8 Sleeper Self Catering Windmill House which was great value for money. The accommodation was basic, but comfortable, clean, well serviced and the kitchen was a comfortable size and sufficiently equipped. There were no modern comforts like aircon and tv in this unit. The location was peaceful and serene and the views from the porch...
