I'm traveling a lot for business and really can say that I wish some of the high priced hotels would offer the service I received at Abangane. The first morning I got up and made a picture out of the bed. I posted it on facebook. A friend was replying that he knew this picture from the movie "Out of...

We had the misfortune of reaching Albanians on aug 2nd after nearly 20 hours of travelling. It was dark at 6 pm when our driver dropped us off at Abangane. This was the first day of our 2 week vacation in south Africa. We had reviews of the place and were spending at first two nights there on the recommendation...

Thank you very much for taking your time to write a review about your stay, although a terrifying one. We would like to clarify certain aspects of your "facts": Your booking was processed via a third party travel agent and we had no direct contact or details before your arrival. Your booking was B&B only and dinner was never requested....

Absolutely wonderful experience. The hosts are super friendly, Klaus is a very good cook, the ambient is just extremely cozy. It's a very nice property, very well maintained and decorated. You feel like you're miles away from everything else and can only enjoy the view and relax. The pool and garden are very well maintained and the view can make...

After several times to South Africa for business, finally I got the decision to stay over the weekend and spend a couple of days visiting the Kruger Park. The Abangane Lodge is just outside the Park area; for us, arriving late in the evening, it represented the only option since you cannot enter the Kruger after a fixed time in...

We had a very warm welcome at the Lodge last time we went to the Kruger! Klaus, one of the owners, showed us around and made us feel comfortable. He has a great blog where he usually posts some of this recipes prepared at the lodge. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Dinner at the Lodge was excellent! The dogs are...

On arrival we were greeted by Klaus who showed us around. The place met our expectations fully (we chose the guest house because of the photos and travel reviews of previous guests). The view is magnificient and so is the food. The price of the 3 course dinner compares well with prices of other restaurants, of the same standard (if...

Pro's: - good location, near town and lots of tourists attractions in the area - dinners are very good, with great care taken by owners to ensure everyone is catered for (as it is a set menu) - nice setting overlooking a valley with game farm next door Con's: - rooms look a bit tired and can do with an...

As soon as we arrived, Klaus, Ridwaan and the dogs came out to greet us, help with luggage and show us around. The rooms were nicely furnished, with an African influence and had a fan and air con for the hot climate. The bathroom had a fab rain style shower and everything was very clean. Each room also had outdoor...

We spend only one night in this BB on our way from Johannesburg to Orpen Gate. We felt we should have spent another day there as it is a beautiful BB. It is a classic old farmhouse which is lovingly restored. The bedrooms are very nice; the only thing is that the AC might be a little inadequate if the...

The Lodge is highly regarded for its peaceful, tranquil surroundings and its ability to provide the highest quality of service. Guests marvel at the sheer expanse of the luscious surrounding bushveld, picturesque gardens, panoramic views across the valley, the majestic mountains in the distance and the promise of a glorious sunset.
