We stayed in Skukuza rest camp during our trip to Kruger. We entered the national park through the Paul Kruger gate and this was the first camp. Our first day excursion was from Paul Kruger gate all the way to Crocodile Bridge via Lower Sabie and back. We were a little late (past the curfew) while coming back from our...

Skukuza can be reached by plane, bus or car. Check-in in the early morning is an ethereal experience as everyone and everything is just waking up from the previous night's game drive, and slowly getting into the swing of the day. Rondawels are well-equipped for cooking, bathing and sleeping, and are ok value for the price. Animals frequently come into...

Great view of the river. Best shop in the Kruger. But very disepointed with the Cattle Baron restuarant, it's super expensive. Camp site is to full and crowded. Bathrooms, lawns and gardens aren't nearly as neat as it use to be.

The rest camp has some accommodation by the Sabi River. You can do some barbecue or sit by the river chit-chatting. You can get some great sightings of Water Buffaloes, Hippoes who make their way to the riverside at night! The gift shop here is one of the biggest, and though it may look expensive, i found some great collection...

This restcamp is centrally located, all the other round trips can be started from here. The rondavels are wonderfully equipped, all the electric appliances functionning. The restaurant's choice is great and the prices in the shop are correct. Many animals are close by. The personell in the camp is helpful, friendly and efficient. The booking can be done at the...

Love the Kruger National Park and the authentic nature experience. Been here twice with partners from Australia, the experience is different every time and always a treat for nature lovers. Accommodation is delightful after a long day of safari.

I absolutely love the Kruger national Park and embrace every experience there. In my opinion the best safari is a combination of a few days driving yourself around and staying in Kruger then 3 nights in a Private Lodge close by in either the Sabie Sand, Timbavati or Makalali Concessions. The large houses in Kruger are absolute gems with 4...

We stayed in a riverside bungalow in Skukuza for the first of three nights self-driving in Kruger. We had a nice view from the back of our bungalow although the presence of the riverside-promenade behind our door meant that we had to draw our curtains when getting dressed because there were often people milling about outside. The room was comfortable...

This is a nice camp with good facilities like large shop, restaurant, museum, car rental etc. One problem is the large number of day visitors at certain times of the days. It can get very crowded in the common areas. Ok if you are staying since many people just come for the day. The promenade along the river is nice...
