We stayed at the Imbali Safari Lodge for 3 nights at the end of a 4 stop Safari tour. The lodges are quite large and mainly overlooking the river at the back (dry at the time of our visit). The rooms are quite large with a superb bathroom, they are very private at the rear and

The 3 plus hour trip from airport to the lodges took us a bit by surprise but in fact the journey was quite interesting. At Kruger gates we were met by the safari vehicles to be taken into the park as it was about to close. As we headed along we became aware from our ranger

This was the most expensive of the private lodges we stayed in during our 6 night safari in the Kruger. It was certainly not bad and I can see how people can be enthousiastic about the Imbali, but for us it fell short on a few issues. The cottage was relatively small and with

We drove there and used google maps which was a disaster! Took us though terrible sand roads in what seemed like unsafe areas and eventually led to an entry we could not access! Essential to call the lodge before hand for accurate directions!!!

Hi Molly2653 - thanks for your question. Normally game drives are grouped with other guests depending on the size of the party they are travelling with. We try to keep the vehicle to between 6 and 8 guests.

Hi jillindever - Thanks for your question and your interest in Imbali. Normally your would have the same ranger throughout. Unless this period coincides with a leave change over date, then you may get a new ranger who has just come back from leave. Walks can be arranged during your stay. You would need to ask the lodge manager or their guide to arrange this for you once you arrive.
