This time we stayed in the tents. Not overlooked. Proper shower and toilet. Well equipped kitchenette. Comfy beds. Plenty of inside storage space. Lovely to sit on the balcony at night looking at the Southern stars.

This camp has its own special charm, the surroundings are beautiful, lush and well maintained. Check in was a breeze, our little room in the bungalow was perfect. Not five star but really comfortable and suitable for a stay in the bush. The room had a fridge, kettle and cups and saucers for tea. We had our meal at the...

We went camping the past long week-end at Punda Maria. The camp site has electricity and are well maintained. Friendly staff assisted us at the Reception Desk. The 25km loop road around the camp was a pleasure to drive. Lots of animals and birds. We were 5 friends doing the trip together and the camp and roads were not that...

Stayed at Punda Maria from 18/02/17 to 21/02/17. The room was well maintained and well serviced but that is where it ends. The camp is poorly maintained it is over grown with weeds and ants is all over the property, the staff was friendly but could be more helpful. The shop and restaurant is worth visiting the food quality is...

Our first view of our safari tent (number 3) was somewhat disappointing. The tarpaulin was coming off and one of the sup[port poles was broken. The outside definitely looked like it needed some maintenance. The very large deck was a lovely surprise. There were two sets of chairs and a table. There was also an outdoor kitchen. The large fridge...

Punda Maria rest camp had good accommodation, with an inside kitchen which is well equipped. Barbeque areas are central and you have to talk you stuff there but there is hotplates to make additional food on, hot water, a hydro boil and work area as well as ample seating and tables. Good pool to cool off in. At the unit...

Punda Maria is one of the smallest restcamps in the Kruger. We had a safari tent, which supposedly is the most luxurious accomodation in the camp. It is pretty basic, though, with everything you in place (including an interview outside kichenette) but little extra. Good for one or two nights to explore this remote area of the Park. We had...

Went to Punta Maria in September 2016 by caravan, one of the best experiences of my life,we were lucky to be camped near the water hole and saw sights that I had only previously dreamed of, like a heard of at least 20 elephants drinking and bathing in the hole, then at least 50 buffalo doing the same. Giraffe, Impala,...

"Everyone" thinks it's fine to skip the north part of Kruger and stay in the south. From my experience, "everyone" is wrong! Northern Kruger is the best part of the park; plenty of aniimals, few visitors, and great atmosphere. While everything isn't perfect at Punda Maria, it's a very nice camp. The on-site waterhole always seems to be the best...

Loved this quiet camp and a must do for those who love safari tent stays. There were elephant eating in the bush right next to our tent. This area is beautiful with the many types of trees. You can hear the cicadas in the trees. There is a restuarant however the fully equipped kitchen allows for your own cooking which...
