This place is made by the staff. They are ALL so very helpful. Great food, good wine (which I thought was exceptionally good value) and nice rooms. Special shout out to Ella who made my birthday stay extra special, made even more special by organizing dinner on the upstairs deck. Driving safaris were great and sun-downer drinks so enjoyable. We had a great time at the Rhino Post, saw the big five within 3 hours. Many impressions that will last for a long time. We hope that the Krüger Park will be always taken care of as a safe haven for animals.

This review is a part of our evaluation of 10 private luxury South African game lodges that we visited over a 5 week period in November / December 2016. These reserves are all located in the Eastern part of the country and are either inside or just outside of major game parks such as Kruger, Hluhlue, Madikwe, Pilanesburg and Nambiti....

Dear Bucketlismania Thank you very much for your comprehensive feedback, and we are delighted that you enjoyed the lodge and service. You have raised a very important issue about the game drives, and one which I'm glad to have the opportunity to clarify on a public forum, so that future guests can be sure of what they're booking. Apologies in advance for a rather lengthy review. Not sure there is word in the dictionary that describes our feeling about this place! Outstanding does not do it justice. We drove for over 7 hours to get there for 3pm (3pm is latest time to get on to the afternoon game drive at 4). We pulled into the car park...

Our accommodation was a large cabin nestled in the bush, overlooking a dry river bed. Comfy bed, outside shower, deck with comfy chairs. The food was very good, although the ostrich was rather tough. Otherwise a long table under the stars, with good service for dinner. Set three course menu. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, hot food cooked freshly...

We had a fantastic stay at Rhino Post Safari Lodge in June 2016. We saw the 'big five' and every drive was exciting as we saw so many animals. Joey was our guide and he knew the park so well he was able to take us to what we wanted to see - or at least to where we were...

Everything about Rhino Post was beyond expectation. The food, accommodations, staff and especially our guide Bongo were top notch. With respect to animals we could not have done better. In 4 game drives I saw at least 100 elephant, about 100 giraffe, hundreds of impala, 23 lions, several hippo and lion, hyenas, water buffalo and 2 leopard. I would not...

Great bush safaris due to the superb ranger Colin. The accommodation, the staff and the food was great and of best quality. The bungalow were situated in the bush with a chance to spot wildlife passing by the riverbed.
