I would like to complement Sanparks on a fantastic stay at Orpen rest camp...As a South african we are conditioned to expect tourists in this part of out country with out local market being neglected on occasion...this however was not the case...true value for money...More

Orpen is ok as a one night stop over if you have been travelling for hours to get into Kruger Park but don't expect too much in terms of luxury. It is basic and not much has changed in the rooms in the last 30...More

A lovely small camp just on the inside edge of Kruger. A tiny hamlet compared to the city of Skukuza. Plenty of wildlife activity around the perimeter fence waterhole. Large roomy verandahs. Swimming pool for cooling off in.

The camp is quite small, as well as the shop, which closes a bit earlier than those in bigger camps. And there is no restaurant. However, the bungalows are very nice, comfortable and look very new. There is a small pond with a light just...More
