After spending 14 days self-catering in Kruger National Park, we ended our SA vacation with a 4-night stay at Kwa-Mbili.stayed at Kwa-Mbili for 4 days. We had a fantastic time. Previously my wife and I stayed in 2009, but this time we brought along our 11-yr old son. We heard lions roaring every night, and even a hyena one evening!...

We stayed at Kwa-Mbili for 5 days in May and had the time of our lives. The lodge was very comfortable and the gourmet meals prepared by the chef Geoffrey were simply delicious. The whole team at Kwa-Mbili made you feel very welcome and special. The wildlife drives in the early morning and afternoon were amazing and it is worth...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Kwa-Mbili for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lodge itself is extremely comfortable and very thoughtfully laid out. Located within the Thornybush Reserve, you are likely to spot lots of animals from your doorstep, and if you’re lucky, hear the lions roaring at night. We stayed in a chalet which was lovely (hot...

This was our first trip to SA and our first experience on a game reserve. After considerable research, our daughter booked us for a 4-night, 5-day vacation at the Kwa-Mbili Lodge. I had no idea what to expect but as a very frequent business traveler, I was not expecting the level of service, the great food, warm hospitality and attention...

What a fantastic place, with a touch of rustic, this is the perfect safari holiday. The game drives are really up close and personal and the guides excellent. The staff too, their personal touch made our holiday extra special. They even organised a beautiful personal romantic dinner for my now fiance to propose at the drop of a hat as...

We stayed for three nights in the Kwa-Mbili Lodge in February 2012. The atmosphere in this rather small and remote Lodge is wonderful and the hosts make you feel very welcome. What we really loved about the lodge is how it really gives you all the comfort you could wish for but still lets you feel like your in the...

I spent a wonderful 5 nights in mid-March at Kwa-Mbili. The chalet accomodation was quite comfortable and always immaculately kept. I am generally pretty easy to please and am used to "roughing it" but I was delighted to have electricity and A/C (as another game lodge I had visited did not). There was even a small plunge pool where I...

Stayed here for three nights. This is a small lodge in the better (lower) price range. I have stayed a more basic places than this and I have also stayed at some of the best lodges in the same area. I like to try and compare. So I do understand that I can not expect a 5 star place but...

KwaMbili Game Lodge provides an authentic safari experience at an affordable price. KwaMbili is siutated in the Thornybush Game Reserve near Hoedspruit, within the Greater Kruger area. The reserve is home to the Big Five as well as an abundance of other game and bird species. This means good sightings, either while out on game drive or on foot during bush walks. KwaMbili means "Place of Two" in the local Shangaan language. Our knowledgeable rangers will introduce you to the tracks, movements, sights and sounds which give you a window into the secrets of the African bush. Back at the lodge, view wildlife from the safety and comfort of our well-positioned hide.
