Tip top B&B. Our second visit to the Manor, which eqalled in quaity to the first. Gerald en JD are exceptionally hopitable and facilities are first class. Pity nowhere to sit in the garden or to swim. We would go back a third time. ,

Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. It was a pleasure to welcome you back on your second visit to Wilderness Manor. I am sorry that you did not spot the two benches in the front garden, one below the big tree and the other near to the front door. As we are nature lovers, we make use of the...

What a find!! Wilderness Manor is run by Gerald and J. D. And is so obviously their much loved home with many of their purchases from round the world on display. Their rooms are wonderfully comfortable with everything needed for your stay. They are both excellent hosts and provide fantastic breakfasts and the attention to detail throughout is exemplary

My husband and I use Trip Advisor a lot but we have only ever written one review, a negative appraisal of a dreadful hotel in Koh Tao, Thailand. Now under much happier circumstances we would like to pen our second review......Wilderness Manor Guest House is the most astonishing place we have ever stayed, the house is incredible with stunning views,...

From the warmth of the welcome to the comfort of the bed, Wilderness Manor excels in all departments. The design and decor is tasteful and of high quality and the lounge areas are the best we've ever experience in a B'n'B anywhere. The hosts could not be more attentive and the whole experience is that of a first class flight....

An extraordinary place to stay! Facing the peaceful lagoon, this guesthouse offers a perfect mixture of sophisticated interior and personal hospitality. Rooms and suites are decorated so tastefully and with love. We stayed in room no.2 - very much space, any conveniences you want, exclusive bathroom, separate living room with leather sofa and the view from the balcony is simply...

I don't normally 'do' trip adviser, but felt that the service we received from Gerald and JD was above and beyond. They were very welcoming and took time to explain what is available to do in the local area and had already reserved a table at 'The Girls' restaurant for us - which was also excellent. The room was spacious...

Stayed at this beautifully furnished and finished guest house in January. Lovely views and an easy walk to excellent restaurants and the beach. Breakfast is incredible and the hosts couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable, interesting and fun.

We normally don´t review many locations since they are standard, but immediately after arrival we decided to let other people know about the immaculate guest house and exceptional service. The rooms are sparkling and redone recently which means the bathrooms are very sophisticated and extremely spacious. The interior is lovingly picked and very cozy - I mean, I have never...

As everyone has said, 2 great chaps running this place. Only 4 rooms, so very quiet in the house, which suited us perfectly. really knowledgeable about the local restaurants. We also had a fab morning on the beach at Wilderness - definitely worth a day if you're doing the Garden Route. couldn't recommend highly enough.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Almost halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the internationally renowned Garden Route and nestled between mountains and golden beaches, you will find one of South Africa's most favoured holiday destinations, the seaside village of Wilderness. Wilderness Manor is an elegant and refined guest house overlooking the beautiful Wilderness Lagoon, in the heart of the scenic village of Wilderness. Step out of the front door and cross the road onto the boardwalk for an easy and safe stroll to beaches, restaurants and village shops. Relax in the spacious guest lounge or reading lounge, with superb views from the balconies overlooking the lagoon. Wilderness Manor is luxuriously decorated in an African colonial style with fine oriental rugs, heirlooms, antiques, art and collectables which contribute to a refined and stylish ambience. Retire to the serenity of four stylish en-suite bedrooms: three luxury and spacious lagoon facing rooms on the second floor with superb views of the lagoon and one standard garden room on the ground floor with a private garden / patio. Look forward to our Continental buffet and English breakfast served in our breakfast room, opening onto a sunny balcony overlooking the indigenous forest where the Knysna Loerie often comes to feed...
