We stayed 2 nights in the Windfall Cottage and it was fabulous. We were greeted by a group of Zebra grazing in the field adjacent to the cottage along with some Impala. The bathroom was a relaxing, invigorating experience. We had an indoor raised tub, but the rain shower was outside built around a beautiful tree and the walls were...

Thank you for a wonderful review. We are so happy that the special luxuries offered at the lodge, such as the rain shower, robe and slippers and hammock contributed to a lovely stay. So good to hear that you also enjoyed the food - our chef is fantastic! Hope the rest of your stay in South Africa was also memorable....

We spent 4 nights at Emdoneni Lodge and never got bored. Our girls had very interesting activities each morning in nature with Ross who was so kind and they loved it, even though my girls don't speak English! Our visit of the big cats was amazing, the chalet rooms were spacious and confortable and spotless clean. It is close to...

If it were not for the somewhat anemic air conditioning, I'd give the Lodge a 5. But the cheetah preserve is magical. You can see and pet a young cheetah, visit with cervals and African Wildcats (which look like domestic cats but have all black foot pads). We loved it!

Hi Chris. Thank you for your kind comments re our cheetah project. The aim of the Emdoneni Cheetah Project is to care for cheetahs, serval cats, African wildcats and caracal (lynx), which have been orphaned or injured in the wild and are in need of care and rehabilitation. We also intend to breed successfully (where possible) and release the offspring...

This hotel is surrounded by the bush and fenced in to keep most of the animals out, except, of course, the monkeys and baboons. It is right next door to a cheetah rescue and re-population facility. The grounds are pleasant as is the bar and pool area, though the pool did not look too inviting. I would recommend it to...

We were very happy with our large room, large bathroom, and porch. It was rainy and humid when we visited so we were very happy to have both air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Our room was one of two rooms in a cottage. The dining room, lounge, and bar were very beautiful. Our group loved the onsite cheetah preserve...

Gorgeous location easily accessible without having to bump over dirt roads which was a plus for us. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Cheetah experience and Game Drive were the hi-lights of our stay. Hope to visit again with the rest of my family - know they will have a wonderful time.

My husband and I are a gay, American couple. Earlier this month as part of our honeymoon trip to South Africa we spent a few nights here. We liked the location KwazZulu Natal (near both game reserve and wetlands) and so booked with Emdoneni. We stayed in the Windfall cottage - their honeymoon suite. It is a bit separated from...

We spent a night here in early December 2016 and regret not having booked for longer. We got to interact with the cheetahs, boy do they purr!! Our rondavel was lovely as was the whole camp. Food was lovely but our choice was limited because there were only 5 guests there that night. Spent a relaxing hour or two sitting...
