Our Ranger Gerry was determined we should see lion - and we sighted 15 in one morning. The lodge is comfortable and is a family run atmosphere. Accommodation is fine. Food is good and there was always a choice. This is our seventh time at Rhino River lodge and we usually bring overseas guest here. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience....

This was our second visit and we loved it even more than our first one. The staff do everything possible to make sure you have a great time. Our knowledgeable ranger, Andrew, tried really hard to find interesting animals for us to see. The accommodation is fine and the food is plentiful and well cooked. Highly recommended.

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at Rhino River Lodge end of January. Accommodation was spacious, large comfortable bed, & one of the best showers ever where the controls for water are a good distance away from the shower head. Decor was may be looking a little tired but for what you pay I think this is very...

I stayed at Rhino River Lodge last week with my family and sisters family. We couldn't rate the accommodation, service, friendliness of staff and our safari guide Kyle was amazing. Our kids range from 4 to 7 and they absolutely loved it. We saw rhino, elephant, water buffalo, lion etc...amazing. Accommodation is amazing, we stayed in beautiful wooden chalets. Couldn't...

Once again we had a wonderful stay at Rhino River Lodge. Following a few kilometre drive through the reserve passing ostrich, zebra, giraffes and many antelope we arrived at reception to a very warm welcome. We were shown to our room overlooking the gardens, by Gerry, who was to be our ranger and host for the next 24 hours. Wardrobes...

Game viewing was amazing. We saw everything except leopard. I was absolutely thrilled to see the wild dogs up close. It was our anniversary and the staff made us feel very special by arranging a candle lit table away from the other guests for us to enjoy our special evening. Food was really good but the choice of wine could...

Thank you for spending your wedding anniversary with us. I am so glad the staff was able to arrange a special private dinner for you. And a special wild dog viewing as well! Yes, the stairs in the chalets are steep and we do not recommend the unit for children or the elderly. We will however be replacing the staircase...

Deluxe Rooms are well appointed but the cottages are "tired" and in need of attention. Note that the double room in the upstairs loft of the cottages is not suitable for the elderly or those uncomfortable with uneven stairs. Beautiful bushveld with enjoyable game drives. Friendly attentive management. Food very average and hot breakfast delivery was very slow.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Please note that our reservations team does inform guests with smaller children and elderly guests that the Chalets have a difficult set of stairs. We are going to be doing a major revamp of the family chalets this year, including a new staircase. I apologize for the slow breakfast delivery, we have attempted to...
