We stayed at The Benjamin for 3 nights after 3 weeks away to beautiful South Africa. The hotel is well located on the Flirida road which is a street with lots of restaurants on it (a number of which are in the top 25 out of 500 on trip advisor). The hotel is clean and looks good with lovely staff...

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that we did not meet all your stars. Our king beds are two singles pushed together with a mattresses convertor on the top. The plastic sound is the mattress protector on the bed which is water proof. I am sorry that it is noisy we also have toweling mattress which we could...

We stayed here a week ago on a Sunday. Our lovely room had two doubles. It was great except for the adjacent building which houses a club. Thought being Sunday they would stop at 11 - no it was after 2. This time stayed a Friday. Asked to change room and were told we could not. The music started at...

Thank you for your review, I am so sorry for your horrible nights sleep. We are constantly trying to get the noise controlled in the road. In terms of moving you to a quieter room unfortunately all the other family rooms were already all booked in. I am so sorry and hope that your flight home was a comfortable one.

Stayed a week for a conference at the ICC, and we were delighted to stay away from the CBD and the beaches. Every member of the staff was charming and most helpful. Breakfast of cold buffet and hot items to order is a great start to the day. Bed and bath were comfortable and in excellent condition. Only drawbacks were...

We stayed two nights here and sadly my wife took ill which meant we spent a lot of time here. The breakfast ladies were delightful and allowed me to take some yoghurt and toast upstairs. My breakfast was very tasty and I can not complain. The room was well equipped - all thought the bathroom was very small and not...

The Benjamin is a small but delightful hotel in old Durban "colonial" style. It is well situated in a good, central location on Florida Rd. There are plenty of restaurants and other nightlife in the immediate area. My room was spacious and furnished in warm, traditional style with a comfortable bed. There was good TV, a room safe, reliable wifi,...

I was very impressed with this hotel and our stay for the evening. I arrived early whilst waiting for my boyfriend to finish his comrades run. Very warm and friendly welcome by the receptionist who ensured that our room was made ready for us early. Safe parking and assistance in carrying the luggage up to the room. Was offered complimentary...

The hotel is in a nice lively area, with plenty of restaurants and club (it can be noisy in particular on Friday and Saturday night!). The hotel is lovely, perfectly clean and 100% colonial style. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is simply great. Staff is always kind. A great stay in Durban

Friendly and accommodating staff are always available to make your stay comfortable. I've been back for three years in a row and they are incredibly helpful, waking up much earlier than usual to prepare breakfast for the runners. The room are clean and comfortable. Only advice is to stay in a room away from the main road and swimming pool...

This hotel is not a big hotel, but the room is nice. I had a little suite room which is quite a big room with very nice interior. The hotel is close to the what happening in the Florida road. The swimming pool is little. The breakfast is good and the service is very good.
