Ate here twice now. Was recommended to try by a friend. Mutton Bunny Chows are tasty and well priced. Value for money. We bought from the take away section in the night... Worth the drive... Did not stay here so cannot comment on the accommodation...

So nobody cares. No management in sight. Just all round apathy. Let us sit down, took the drinks and food order and 10 minutes later we get the bad news. Used to look bad long ago, but atleast the food was good and you could get something to eat at any time. Maybe some hotel management training?

I often visit this restaurant for lunch during working hours with colleagues and am always satisfied. The service is fast, friendly and efficient and the food is tops. They make the best and freshest food in the area. Keep up the good work guys!

Booked at this so called 4 star accommodation and to my disbelief the following occured: Upon arrival we were welcomed by the security who was too too talkative in an annoying way prolonging our check in time as exhausted as we were. Get to the reception area and waited over 30 minutes for anyone who works in reception there was...

While on vacation in Durban this festive season, my family and I decided to visit the revamped Island Hotel in Durban. Growing up in my younger years Island Hotel was famous for its good food and exotic location snuck inside the river mouth of Tiger Rocks beach. I was amazed to find that the place looks as prestigious as before...

As a family who have moved away from KZN, we miss the curries and spicy foods that we are so accustomed to. So any visit to KZN excites us, and the Island Hotel Restaurant has never failed our tastebuds. The fact that its always packed with locals tells a story of the quality of the food.

Nicely appointed. Reasonably priced. Attentive staff. Excellent Indian food in the restaurant. No wi-fi in the economy hotel area. Free wi-fi in the Hotel proper. TV reception is limited to about 4 channels SABC. Good sports bar. Close to the beach. Isipingo is about 20km from downtown Durban where we spent most of our time, seeing the sights there.
