I have grown to like Purple Olive Guest House not as exceptional place that draws a waal..but as clean and peaceful place that affords you the convenience you need when travelling and more specially if you staying for a long time. Though there are lots of areas management need to pay attention to( the pool, the garden, the gate motor,...

I often go to Purple Olive Guest House at least once a month on business. I must say, they have done much to raise the level of service and standard of their property. The rooms are very clean, and the staff very helpful. I find the serenity and peacefulness of the place very pleasant. Much can be done to improve...

My wife is from South Africa and being familiar with the Wonderboom area, we thought this Guest House would be a good stay - what a disappointment! To start with, the card machine did not work and we had to scramble for cash. Shower was blocked, TV did not work, ants all over the bed, hair on the sheets (...

I stayed at this Guest House for an extended stay while on contract employment in Pretoria. Not exactly the Ritz, but it was clean, comfortable and good value for money. Breakfast was limited but adequate provided you got there early before stuff ran out.

We could not have breakfast. Had to ask for drinking glasses to have breakfast juice. Had to ask for dishes. Then to our surprise, everything was exhausted. No bacon, no eggs. Only toast and juice. Rooms needs painting. Something wrong with the star rating in South Africa. Will not recommend. A Ripple off

What a disappointing guest house experience!! I made a reservation for my parents at the Purple Olive Guest House in Pretoria whom had to attend a 40 year school reunion function over the weekend of 10-12 October 2014. Relatives of ours stayed over at the same guest house during 2013 and had only good reviews about the place. This is...

Purple Olive Guest House is quiet and comfortable. The rooms are clean and equipped with a selection of DSTV channels. The staff is professional and friendly, and the parking is safe. Everything you want from a cheap guest house.

For our South-Africa journey (from Jo'burg to Cape Town in three weeks) we were recommended not to stay in Jo'burg. It was supposedly not interesting enough, so arriving with Emirates at the end of the day we arrived Purple Olive beginning of the evening. Quietly situated on the hill the fence was less inviting. But don't get scared about the...

A fine and cheap place around Pretoria. Perfect location for a first night in South Africa, avoiding Johannesburg. Staff is friendly, breakfast is good. Secured parking area. If you arrive late and want to have a meal: let them know.

Lovely little guesthouse in Northern Pretoria. Very affordable and the breakfast was superb. The pool was a nice temperature. The rooms were just a bit warm due to the absence of an A/C. The ceiling fan had to work extra hard :). The bathroom was in serious need of a paint job as it was peeling. Over all I do...
