Nice hotel, lovely courtyard restaurant, nice food, good service all spoilt by the miserly charge for internet access. 50 or 100 rand unless one is resident. No matter if you are spending quite a lot of money with them, a trip to the front desk and a financial transaction is required to access wifi. Must be one of the very...

My wife and I were booked into another hotel for our son's university induction, but had to check out a day early because we were not happy with that hotel. We managed to get a room at the Vineyard at short notice and were so pleased we did. We have stayed here often but having just experienced what we had...

We are now regulars at this Claremont institution on our annual trips to SA, and we were pleased to find the rooms “refreshed” this year with a new bathroom and room furniture. There is very little to dislike about the Vineyard. The grounds are lovely and large. The pool area is attractive with a world class view of the mountain....

A lovely place to stay. Expensive by South African standards but generally high quality service. Occasionally there were glitches with waiting staff service which lets the place down a little. If you are having an early breakfast eat inside - service is way better. On the whole a great place. Beautiful grounds, well appointed, spacious rooms, tranquil spa and giant...

Stayed at Vineyard for 3 nights at beginning of Jan as part of our trip, used this as chill down before moving to City Centre. Stated in a river suite. Room was gorgeous with separate seating area & patio. If I have one moan it's that the patio area had far too much foliage and therefore no view. I understand...

A particularly beautifully located hotel surrounded by vast, well maintained gardens and gorgeous mountain views , nestled in Newlands. With a rich colonial history to the hotel, it contains many original manuscripts dating back several centuries which are available to view on display in their halls. Breakfast was a spread of items both available as a buffet and from a...

The hotel is in a lovely setting, although quite far from central Cape Town, over half an our from Camps Bay for example. There is a nice pool area with loungers for relaxing on a Summer's day. The rooms have been recently refurbished so it's looking good, and the breakfasts were superb. However I would just note in High Season...

There is not much more to add to this, than its one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Well done!! The service, room and food was truly amazing. The hotel itself was full of history and for the price. What price?

So, we chose the Vineyard Hotel for drinks and a light bite. It being the holiday season, life is more leisurely, so waiting longer than usual, was not a problem. The problem is everyone around us is enjoying crisps, nuts and snacks, courtesy of the hotel, except us. And time passes and still no snacks. By this time, most tables...

We stayed in this hotel in late December for two nights during our honeymoon and it was fantastic! It is a big hotel with beautiful gardens and a great view of Table Mountain. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and we loved our room which was spacious, modern and clean. The breakfasts were very nice and you can...
