So last Easter weekend we decided to book a family lunch and spare us the cooking and clean up at home. I booked a table for 10 adults and one child for 12pm lunch We all met up a little early and had a drink on the deck, beautiful setting under the old trees over looking the gardens. Well this...

This place has its own charm given its historic main building and garden setting. The staff are also very friendly, efficient and helpful too. Breakfast was plentiful and filling (although lots of meat!) in the main restaurant area. There is an lounge filled with chesterfield-like leather lounges for chatting and working, a dark broody pub with big screen TVs filled...

What a wonderful stay at the Sunnyside. We were a large group, about 12 rooms, in JHB to watch rugby at St Johns. The food was excellent, the service and staff were wonderful. We had smaller kids with us, and the hotel accommodated them so well. Felt like spending a week at home, we were all so well looked after....

This place has a number of things going for it but also a few drawbacks. It appealed to me because of its history and that it is a low rise complex in a garden setting, with an entrance via a guarded boom gate. Also it has pleasant public areas with a spacious lounge, bar and dining area furnished in a...

Our company has run a number of conferences at the Sunnyside Park Hotel in both the old and the new venues and have never been disappointed. Our delegates enjoy the tranquil setting, the safe parking and the great variety of delicious food offered at Milner's. Keep up the good work

Excellent service and l love old hotels, this is the best. Always feel at home here and you get good weekend deals. Have been coming here for twenty years and will continue to do so, the step into 5 past is exactly what one needs in this era of fast food and plastic.

I said I would be back, but not as soon as I thought. The new wing / conference centre is entirely modern and professionally run. Perhaps in need of a spring clean. A suggestion to management. It is 2017, I can handle the history, we can't change that. In talking to the dignified gentlemen who served you decades I am...

The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and kind people. Unfortunately though many things do not warrant the 4 stars this hotel is supposed to have. The 'old world charm' is less charm and more just old. The room was nicely furnished, but I had no hot water for the duration of my stay - the maintenance man explained...

The outside of the hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens, well - maintained and promising. The main part of the hotel is located in a lovely old historical building, but ... What a disappointing stay. The upholstery of the chairs were dirty, nothing that a wet cloth and some soap wouldn't remove. The under curtains were threadbare and curtains were...

This hotel was built in 1895 with additions made over the years. I stayed in the newer section of the hotel and my room was spacious, and well serviced with housekeeping responding positively to all my whimsical requests! :) The meeting room which was used was adequate. It can be improved by having a phone in the room to call...
