I stayed at Soweto Backpackers during the first part of my trip in South Africa. The staff is very friendly, and Soweto is beautiful! My only complaint would be for them to get mosquito nets because they were literally tearing everyone up overnight. The culture...More

If you really want to feel home in Johannesburg and understand how most of the people are living in this city you should definitely go there for some nights. Do a bicycle tour with a hostel guide and find brilliant places in SAs largest township

We didn't stay at the hostel, we only did their Soweto bike tour, so our review is based purely on that experience. We booked the 4 hour bike tour through Soweto for R530 (quite a lot of money for tours in SA) and it was...More

A wonderful Place to stay in Soweto, the best way to experience this vibration township! Nice dinners and excellent cycling tours! The atmosphere is very familiar, it’s easy to meet people in the common areas! I recommend the place of all my heart!

Hello. We are a group of 10 people coming to Johannesburg in may. We would really like to go on your tuk tuk township tour. Would that be possible to arrange?

Yes, I would contact the company. From what I understand they will rent more tuk tuks for a large group. Hope you get to go. It is fantastic!

Hi We are arriving in August in J'burg for 2 nights before driving out to Kruger and thinking of booking to stay at Lebo's. Would you say it is safe to drive there and park in the area? We will do the 4 hour cycling tour and would like to visit the aparthied museum so would be driving in and out of the area. Alternatively we could stay in the Sandton area which seems to be recommended. Just want to make sure its quite safe - we are a couple in late 20's with rental car? Thanks your help would be appreciated! Uma
