From the time we were met at the entrance to the Plettenberg hotel we knew we would like it. The position of the hotel is fantastic with wonderful views . The bright and airy public spaces are well designed and decorated and the staff charming and most welcoming and helpful. Along with our friends we were taken to our wonderfully...

We stayed here for 5 nights in January 2016. The hotel is excellent. When we arrived we did not like the room we had been given so spoke to the Manager who moved us without question. She is called Annemie Parker and she remembered our name every time we saw her. She regularly greeted us when we went to breakfast....

A truly "not to be forgotten" Hotel. Situated above the bay and an easy walk to the beach, this Hotel was a wonderful experience. The rooms offered true luxury and the service was exceptional. Could not fault the place if I tried. The restaurant offered an excellent menu with a wide choice of wines. Service was all that a five...

As a couple we have stayed at the Cellars and Marine many times so our expectations were at a very high level. It's a shame that the hotel is split in 2 by the road which separated the fantastic atmosphere when you're across the road. the quality of service was excellent particularly when at the pool across the road where...

Spend here one night and was upgraded to a bigger room. Rooms have everything and the view from the hotel is superb. Breakfast is a little slow as you have to order most of the items instead of buffet style but all the fresh fruits made up for this. The hotel is decadent and wants to be the old English...

Dear 40Matthis1974, I must say we are certainly blessed with a beautiful view from the hotel and I am glad that you could experience that. Our breakfast is normally a very relaxed drawn out affair, as most of our guests sit and relax and enjoy the view so we tend to give guests time. But perhaps some guests might find...

We stayed at The Plettenberg for one night as part of our trip around the garden route. We were tired and hot when we arrived and couldn't have been more grateful for the welcome we received. Cold flannels, iced tea and lots of smiles followed by a tour which made us sorry we were not staying longer. The hotel has...

We booked at the last minute at a fabulously discounted rate and loved every minute. Food was great, pool area and views were fantastic. Room was so comfortable and slept really well. Bar area a little quiet but this was off season so maybe busier at other times.

This felt like a very posh hotel with infinity pools and quiet little sitting rooms. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was clean and air-conditioned. We stayed in a Deluxe Seaview room which was a very good size and well furnished. Only downside to the room was that it overlooked the pool area so had little privacy. The pool is also very small , as is the entire pool area. Sunbathers are grouped tightly together so not very appealing. We ate at the Seafood restaurant...
