If you want to see the big 5 (or 4) because we all know that the Leopard is always scares, this Game Reserve just outside of Port Elizabeth is well worth a visit. Their staff is always friendly, food is superb and the game drive are fantastic.

We stayed at the Water Lodge. Room is beautiful, great bathroom, private plunge pool. Restaurant food was excellent except for the baked desserts which below standard. Service at the restaurant and rooms was excellent. Wildlife was great. We were a bit disappointed with our ranger who frankly seemed burnt out and overworked- she was disinterested and seemed resentful/irritated at times....

Exceptional stay at Pumba. The safaris were fantastic and our Ranger Jade was a joy. Full of knowledge and her "special" coffee and hot chocolate were superb. When the 6:00am alarm went off we couldn't wait to jump out of bed to go off on safari. The accommodation was beautiful in an amazing setting. The highlight of our SA tour.

I never imagined that I would go on safari and would see the animals so close to the vehicle! I actually tried purchasing a telephoto lens for my time there. Didn't really need it with the big 5 walking just past our truck! We even saw the Leopard! Well done Daniel for scouting around for us all day!

If you want a place away from it all that offers animals in the wild, knowledgeable staff combined with a beautiful private chalet, visit the Pumba Game Reserve. We had two nights at the Bush Lodge. On our first night the male leopard padded past our windows...just magical. On our third drive the leopard padded out again and knocked down...

We stayed at the Bush Lodge we had expectations but have to say it was all we expected and more. They say first impressions count we arrived it was 40 degrees hence the plunge pool at our lodge was just what we needed total privacy watching Warthogs Impala and Zebra just 20 metres or less away. A quick refresh and...

Visited Pumba at the end of our visit to South Africa. Stayed in a Water Lodge (no 8) - which was great, really big room and a wonderful deck. The only complaint would be that the bushes at the front of the lodge (viewing the water) were a bit high obscuring some of the view - but that's being really...

I spent 4 months working in Cape Town, and before I left, I decided to head up to Pumba to check out the safari experience on the recommendation of a friend. I don't really know what my expectations were, but the Pumba staff and facilities exceeded them all. I cannot recommend this experience enough! The accommodations are private and great....

Visited Pumba as part of our first trip to South Africa, what a great place. We stayed in the Waterfront Lodge for three nights. The game drives were so interesting, our Ranger, Jade, was very clever in finding the animals we were not disappointed. All the accommodation and food was excellent and nothing too much trouble for any of the...
