This is a very nice place to stay in Grahamstown! The room was comfortable and spacious. Park-like grounds surround the historical buildings and secure parking is provided. The owner and staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. Highly recommended! Cindy and Tom, Texas, USA.

I spent two nights here and the accommodation was excellent. I arrived rather late at night - tired and hungry - but could not find any restaurant who would deliver at 9 on a Sunday evening. The very kind hosts suggested a place that was open and collected my meal for me! The next morning we had to go to... More

I was here during the last few days of August while attending a conference, and on my last night there, I found that my key could not open the front gate, only the back gate, to which I did not know the way. I had not been informed of this at all, so I found myself waiting at the gate... More

We stayed there for about ten days during the National Arts Festival. It was our second visit. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast very good and Anne was wonderful. Witi worked very well. To sum up: we were very happy there and it is a very well run guestbhouse. Hope to return.

Colonel Graham has just added another building to the back side on Frances street. It was absolutely brand new when we stayed and is possibily the best bed I have ever slept on. I can't say how wonderful the staff were for us, we needed a bit of help with a couple of things for the festival and they were... More

We chose the same room for our 2nd stay and were once again very comfortable for the night. Last time we had a super breakfast but didn't have time on this occasion.. A very well-run establishment which we will use each time we go to Grahamstown. You won't be sorry !!

On the 7th of Feb, we booked in Colonel Graham Guest House, as we were taking our daughter to Rhodes University and my husband was at the same time on official visit to the university. What a pleasure to find the Colonel Graham! The accommodation I have experienced in Grahamstown to date has all been of a type: dark, musty, antiquated, dingy bathrooms. Not the Colonel Graham: light, breezy, all the amenities, a superb breakfast, crisp clean sheets on firm new beds, good shower with firm pressure and a door that sealed, well ventilated bathroom,... This was our second visit to this cosy self catering cottage, the high standards since last visit have been maintained.Clean and comfortable, towels provided. Wifi, tv, DSTV - all essentials for my family. Son slept on a comfortable sleeper couch in lounge area. Breakfast was delicious. Good location for parents of students at Rhodes or the local schools.
