Torn between rating average or poor. No AC in the villas this time of year (75 degrees is hot when you're used to 10's and 20's at home). Very thin walls - you can hear everything in the rooms next to you. Uncomfortable bed. Modern/nice decor and most staffers are very helpful. Almost overly eager to help. One night a...

Had a conference at the Carefree. The staff went above and beyond. The accommodations met my needs and the conference rooms were sufficient. Highly recommend the location. Also had a spa treatment. Lynn is excellent. Also booked a balloon ride through the hotel. The guest services team could not be more helpful. Kudos to the entire staff.

Our Phoenix based Lambda Car Club chapter held our annual invitational, choosing Carefree Resort as our host location. Club members from many states attended and all agreed...Awesome choice! It's beautiful, it's comfortable, has all the amenities you could imagine (and a concierge ...and many staffers...that can find it for you if it it's not on the property)...the list goes on...

This place was great! You were greeted with friendly staff upon arrival, offering assistance, and as soon as you walked in the door you were hit with a warm view of a fireplace and the smell of cedar and hot cocoa! It was amazing! I was there for a conference, so I didn't get to enjoy the grounds or any...

We stayed at Carefree for our 11th anniversary while playing golf for five days. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The front desk arranged for a wonderful bouquet to be in our room. The people were nice, helpful and did everything you asked. The restaurant food was very well prepared and very reasonable. How does an appetizer of six large...

The facility grounds are very nice. This facility has limited parking and almost all is far from their rooms. The room was filthy upon check-in. The sink area had not been cleaned well, there was urine stain on the toilet and blood stain on the sheets. The staff was inform and there was a complete lack of interest in the problem....

In town for family issues that weren't very pleasant. The personal service and excellent food made this stay as enjoyable as it could possibly be. Large rooms with beautiful balcony views over the desert. Enjoyed the pool area as well. Will definitely be staying here again.

We spent a week at the Carefree Resort and we loved our stay. We stayed in the villa and it offered amazing views and more than enough room to stretch out. The restaurant on-site served delicious food and the management allowed us to greet and thank the chef. We had a little problem our first night and the hotel's front...

We spent four nights and wished we could spend a few more! From the check in to check out the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had our dog with us and this place is great at being dog friendly. Plenty of places to walk him. Loved the retro feel of the place. Kept looking for Dean Martin and...

I recently stayed for one night at Carefree as part of a business meeting hosted at the conference center. My room was in the Villas section of the resort, and I'd agree with other reviewers that the property's exterior facilities are indeed gorgeous (equally as much due to the Arizona landscaping as the buildings themselves). The room was a generous...
