We recently stayed at Rooney's Roost for the 2nd time...and enjoyed it just as much as last year! The rooms are clean, the location is close to the center of town...stores, restaurants, tour companies are all just a block or two away. Becky's breakfasts are wonderful and she is cordial, helpful, and compassionate. This year we had to leave Wrangell...

The hostess is friendly and a great cook. The house is immaculate and well appointed. Also the hostess arranges for free pick up from and to the ferry or airport. Great place to say for a few days in Wrangell

The Rooney's Roost B&B is my favorite place to stay whenever I'm visiting the friendly southeast Alaska town of Wrangell :)) The proprietor is most courteous and friendly, and she prepares & serves absolutely delightful breakfasts, complete with fresh fruits & yogurt topping, yummy entrees, and homemade breads (be sure to sample her tasty cookies too). The completely renovated, historic...

6 wet canoeists were lucky enough to find space at Rooney's. Becky made it so easy by transporting our gear (multiple trips!) and giving us hot cookies right off the bat as we recovered from our Stikine River canoe trip. It was a slice of heaven to have 3 beautifully decorated rooms, a sunny deck for sitting and enjoying the...

We stayed three nights at Rooney's. Wrangell is a more of a working town than a tourist destination. In fact, I would have to say that the town is generally resistant to the idea of becoming a "tourist town". We typically call places like this "two night" destinations. For example, few restaurants and no restaurants open past 7P even in...

Becky and Gordon are wonderful hosts. Their B & B is clean & comfy. Becky makes an awesome breakfast for her guests. There are chairs on the porch, a table and chairs outside on a deck (for the sunny days), and a comfortable sitting area downstairs. There is also a sitting loft upstairs. While we were there 6 wet and...

My friend and I stayed 2 days in this very beautifully decorated yet homey bed and breakfast. There was even a sitting room outside our room. Becky prepared a very substantial and tasty breakfast and she and her husband welcomed us with excellent homemade cookies. I so appreciate Becky for transportation to and from the ferry and especially working things...

From the minute we were met at the ferry to the morning we left, we loved Rooney's Roost. They picked us up, took us to the airport, provided all sorts of interesting information about Wrangell and the accommodations were very nice. We had never stayed in a bed & breakfast before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other people were interesting,...

Stopped at Wrangell for Annan Bear tour, Becky was a great hostess, always greeting you enthusiastically and providing great breakfasts. Conveniently located in town (as are most things, not the biggest town), it is a good place to stay. The only minor comment is the bed was a bit too firm for us.

I just spent a very enjoyable 3 nights with what felt like my new family in Wrangell. Becky sent her grandson over to pick me up at the ferry terminal even though it's just a few blocks. It was dark and pouring rain, so that was a big help. My room had a shared bath, but since I was the...
