Adequate lodging, but meals were over-priced for the quality of food, and the isolation of the lodge was not an asset. I am glad we were only there for one night. Of course, the gloomy skies and the inability to see the mountain probably factored in to a less-than-awesome experience. While I personally think that the mountain is a myth...

The lodging is very spread out which I found to be refreshing. The rooms were not exceptional but suitable. The view, which is why we were there, was simply amazing. The fog lifted and we actually were able to see mt. McKinley. The restaurants were slow but food was good.

I am very surprised at the number of negative reviews I have read for the McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge! We loved all the Princess lodges we stayed at on our recent trip in Alaska. The McKinley Princess lodge was no exception. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and well cared for. The property is situated on a hill, which offers...

This was a fantastic place, and in a way, being in the middle of nowhere is exactly why you go to Alaska in the first place. With that said, it is a 50-minute drive to Talkeetna by bus, and the activities at the resort are fairly limited. We had a great horseback ride that left from the lodge, and there...

The beds in my room looked like they had been made by a second grader. Carpeting in the hallways was filthy and needed a thorough cleaning. That being said, the views of Mt. McKinley (Mt. Denali) were breathtaking and the Lodge itself was just fine. Only the building with our rooms in it showed the lack of consideration by the...

Seems that the majority of guests here are aged. It is quiet and peaceful, not to mention beautiful. The lodgings are simple but comfortable and are spread about the property. A regular free shuttle (every 15mins) is available and will drive you anywhere you want to go around the property. Free Wifi at the lodge, at the other restaurant not...

The views from the lodge were spectacular. The lodge was neatly and sensitively nestled so that the views of Denali were lovely....The lodge was situated on the creek, the rooms were comfortable, and the excursions that departed the lodge we excellent. Great food and hospitable staff. We are very pleased to have stayed there.

We stayed here one night in August as a part of our Princess Connoisseur Cruisetour. We had a lovely train ride to Talketna, and we just got off the train and saw the town for about an hour before taking the neext shuttle to the property. I'd recommend doing this as we saved the trip back and forth from Talkeetna....

My three sisters and I booked two rooms for a girl's weekend. We had a lovely time at the lodge! We hiked the nearby trails, relaxed in the lodge, enjoyed the dining options, and especially loved the fire pits and talking with other guests. As lifelong Alaskans, we loved hearing where the other guests were visiting from and answering their...

The view is spectacular. The buildings are very nice and the nature briefings by local State Park volunteers was wonderful! Especially when they brought a Bald Eagle in and discussed the recovery program. The resort is about 1 hour from Talkeetna so you are away from everything. BUT.... After leaving the ship and a 6 hour bus ride, it took...
